My complaint is because bookings.com works with a hotel by the name of Bungalowpark Domaine de Chodes in Belgium, which apart from being of awful quality, also rips off their customers. In the confirmation they sent me they said that the credit card was only for reservation, and that they wouldn't apply payment. Then they asked for a wire transfer. My wife and I wanted to see the Mediterranean area as a nice second anniversary trip. My family of 5 rented a car at Malpense a/port. We drove 4 hours to the Piedmont region, and found that the car wouldn't start a couple of days later. We called Hertz to learn that they would send a tow truck to pick up the car, and that we had to drive one hour and a half to pick up a new car!!!! In the middle of our holiday, with three children, they expected us to take the time to find a taxi to take us on a half day's journey to get a new car. The customer service was a debacle!!! On viewing my credit card statement online I noticed $368.60 had gone to Trenitalia. I had to google this to see what it was as I'd never heard of it before and then I came across this site with other people in the same boat. I contacted my credit card company immediately and they have promised to contact me within the next 7-14 days.
