High rate, harrassing
My husband went online and inquired about a loan in the amount of $5, 000.00 to help pay our mortgage and other bills since he was layed off from his work. they told him what the payment would be and he accepted, but did not read the fine print on the outrageous rate he would be getting. he took out this loan on July of 2007 we are still paying them today two years later. The payments are late due the high payment and the late charges they add on per day and the total balance has not come down at all. we are struggling financialy due to the fact that I am currently not working and can't find work anywhere. My husband is the sole provider, we are even late on our mortgage and have 4 children to take care of. I have called them to explain our situation to help in lowering the rate to a decent number, which they state that there is nothing they can do. I can't believe that... I dont know if there is anything we can to to fight and keep other desperate families from getting ripped off from this company.

Harassment
This is for all the people who have ever dealt with Cash Call. I too am being sued and I never took a loan out with these people. They say they have proof but I say the proof is in the pudding and I have a case of snak Paks! My bank has researched my last 2 years of statements and has found nothing from these people. No loan No payments nothing. They say they have proof but they won't let me see it. I say go to court show your proof then sue them..Harassment, fraud, defamation of character and my personal favorite false advertisement! That aught to wake them up..Whatever you do don't roll over cause that's when they get you. Fight back!!!

Fraud and scam
I used Cash Call to get a quick short term loan to use as some float money from them to hold me over on a real estate sale. Made my payments on time for a long time. Auto draft from my bank account.

But once the economy took a nose dive it affected the company I was working for and ended up loosing my job. After awhile I couldn't continue to make those payments, but the auto draft was in place and they kept taking out money. I closed my account to get them to stop otherwise I was going to get hit by the bank for overdraft fees.

They started calling me right away. At first I would answer the calls. They would just hound me for my information. Soon I stopped taking their calls as I knew the common phone numbers they were using. They would call anywhere from 6 to 10 times a day. First it was my cell phone and then to my home phone. Luckily I have phone records of every call. Then they got smart and started using a local phone number.

Their collection agents will not listen to you. If you talk to the collection agent long enough the collector will eventually give up and transfer you over to a supervisor who then tries to get at you.

They are relentless to get their money. Their tactics I think may violate the Fair Debt Collection practices. You can hang up on them and they will call you right back if not a couple of hours later. And they do it every day. I also noticed that they changed my interest rate without notifying me. It went from basically 25% to over 60%.

After 4 months of not paying them because the collection agents said they would not accept partial payments I got a call from one guy who was nice and seemed to care about my situation. I found out he had lied to me about how much I could pay and when I could pay them.

A week later I get a call requesting payment and then they try to say that I lied to them and refused to keep my end of the deal.

Cash Call is nothing more than legal loan sharking.

At one time I had an auto repair business and some clients were offered in house credit. The amount of interest I could charge was capped at 10% by law. How does Cash Call get away with their interest rates? Who do they have in their back pocket that allows them to get away with this?

cash call
O'Donovan et al. v. CashCall, Inc.
United States District Court, Northern District of California - Case Number C 08-03174-MEJ
Case Type: Consumer Class Action
Status: Class Action Complaint filed October 10, 2008

On October 10, 2008, The Sturdevant Law Firm filed a class-action lawsuit on behalf of CashCall borrowers in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. The lawsuit filed by Krista O’Donovan and Eduardo De La Torre accuses Defendant CashCall, Inc. of engaging in predatory lending by making loans to consumers at exorbitantly high and unconscionable rates, without regard to the borrowers ability to repay the loan. Additionally, plaintiffs allege that the high interest rates, oppressive loan terms, and protracted repayment time make it impossible for most consumers to pay off their loans within any reasonable time period.

The lawsuit also challenges CashCall’s aggressive and abusive debt collection practices, which include making frequent and repeated harassing telephone calls to consumer’s residence and places of employment, as well as revealing personal financial information to third parties.

Interest Rates
I was desperate and made a HUGE mistake by getting a loan from Cash Call.com. When I signed up on line for the loan the interest rate was not shown. I figured the interest rate would be a little outrageous but 99% they are LOAN SHARKS!
I have been paying on this loan that I took out for 30 months I was loaned $2600.00 and have payed them in this time over $6, 000.00. They are crooks!

Interest fees
I applied for a loan through cascall four years ago and I am still paying on the loan. The company never told me that I would have to pay three years of interest before I would be paying on the principal of the loan. This to me was very dishearting. The loan amount was for 2500.00. So for 36 months I paid them 199.02 which equals $7, 164.72 and the last twelve months I have also paid $199.02 which equals $2, 388.24. So how is that fair? I total I have paid back would be $9, 552.98. This company should really be investigated by the BBB. Everytime I have called in to check when my final payment to them will be They keep changing the date. Really bad business if you ask me they are so CROOKED!

Unauthorized billing
I borrowed $2600.00. I've paid one year and nine months of payments totaling to $3897.90. My balance is now $2416.14 and only $183.86 went to the principal. I refuse to give them any more money. What should I expect that they will do to me?

INTEREST CHARGES & HARRASSMENT
i SAW A COMMERCIAL ABOUT CASH CALL AND I HAPPENED TO HAVE MANY MEDICAL BILLS..I CALLED AND THEY SENT ME AN APPLICATION ON LINE...THE PERSON I SPOKE WITH SAID THE PAYMENT WOULD BE $216.55 PER MONTH BUT HAD 376 MONTHS TO PAY IT..I FELT I COULD DO IT IN LESS THAN A YEAR...I SIGNED THE CONTRACT AND THEN THEY SENT ME A COPY OF THE CONTRACT. IT SAID ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE 99.23%, AMOUNT FINANCED $2525, FINANCE CHARGE $6, 714.64, TOTAL PAYMENTS $9, 239.64. I HAVE PAID THEM FOR TWO YEARS A TOTAL OF $4264...I HAVE HAD HARD TIMES WITH MY DAUGHTER LOSING HER JOB OF 22 YEARS AND I AM 79 YEARS OF AGE SO I ASKED THEM TO GIVE ME A DEFERRMENT FOR TWO MONTHS TO ALLOW US TO GET BACK ON OUR FEET...REFUSE AND GET CONSTANT PHOME CALLS...THREATENING AND TELLING ME TO SELL SOME OF MY THINGS TO PAY THEM...I LIVE IN AN APARTMENT, MY FURNITURE MUST BE 30 YEARS OLD AND I DON'T OWN A CAR..WHAT CAN I SELL? i BELIEVE THEY SHOULD BE STOPPED - THAT INTEREST RATE MUST BE ILLEGAL. I AM AT A LOSS AS TO WHAT I CAN DO.
