I was approached by a person named Kriti from Enago to perform freelance work. He/she requested me to write a few paragraphs which I did. He/she found the work satisfactory and offered me a very minor wage per thousand words written. I asked if he/she could do better on the wage. I never heard from him/her again. The only way I can interpret this response is "take it or leave it." This is no way to start a relationship. The people representing this company appear to be very controlling and thin skinned. I read testimonials how wonderful this company is on their web platform. I am skeptical of these comments. The reviews on this board appear more accurate based on my limited experience. To post here I must give this company a rating. I would give it no stars but this site would not accept my position. Therefore I gave it one. I perform freelance work for the sciences, health care and more. I am open to comments. [email protected]

Well, I guess Joe isn't the only one who is going to have his comments 'toned down' by the folks at Enago. I don't know, it's just that in the US we tend to expect to get paid for work completed. These fellas determine when and if you get paid...and clearly if there is a way out, they will make use of it. For instance, offering jobs requiring 'minor revisions' and then sending back the revised version to the editor with a ton of additional comments and corrections. When asked if this wad of comments did not in fact constitute a major revision job, there was no reply from management...except to inform me that I wouldn't get paid. I did try an additional job for them. The job was fairly lengthy and I requested a 24 hour extension [on a Saturday afternoon], and after having completed the majority of the work I was informed the extension wouldn't work. In short, 6 hours of work and no pay. Avoid these folks unless you wish to be subjected to their caste system!
