I called my bank because I noticed I was being charged $19.90 for something I didn't authorize. They told me I had to contact the insurance company. I called 18007818379. I gave them my name. They said the address and phone number they had on file didn't match what they had so they couldn't discuss it with me. i told them they were charging MY account. They said yes, but they couldn't talk to me. I gave them my current address and phone number (lived there 9 years) and they said they would call back within 1 week. I waited a month - not only did they NOT call, but they charged me again. I called them, they tried to say they were busy and would call me back. I insisted I would hold as I'd already waited a month. Now, they tell me US Bank authorized the charges and it was some kind of marketing campaign. I've never authorized or accepted ANY marketing campaign I've received. I called US Bank and asked them why they told me I had to call the Insurance company when they were the initiators of the whole scam. Now they will "investigate" and get back with me. I feel like there is some fraud at one of these companies - maybe both. If this is not resolved within 10 days I will close my account at US Bank. I hate doing this, but I don't feel I can trust them unless they step up to the plate and fix this.
