Employee not wearing gloves when making food
While visiting a store on 15th st. in Tuscaloosa, AL. I was greatly appalled to see that that man putting meat on the sandwiches was not wearing gloves. It was during lunch time and the place had a pretty good line.

I first assumed that maybe he was new and just didn't know any better. The longer I waited in the the more disgusted I became. Not only did the man never stop and wash his hands, but none of the customers seem to notice.

All the other employees had on gloves. When I couldn't take it anymore I went to the register and asked to speak to the manager.

Here is the greatyest disappoitment of all. The young man at the reasturant pointed to the man not wearing gloves and said "He is the manager so it will be just a minute. At that I told him nevermind and I quickly exited.I have not been back.I found a great one inside of wal-mart that seems very well run. I may have to deal with parking but at least I don't have to worry about any bare hands other then my own touching my food.

Bad sandwich
Picture of meatball sandwich shows a couple of large meatballs. Actual sandwich came with one row of meatballs about 1" in diameter. What a ripoff!!! Can't put mozzarella cheese on a parmigian sandwich because "we don't sell pizza". This is stupid, anyone knows a parmigian sandwich has mozzarella on it! Never go there again, food is not fresh, but pressed to shape meat. They should make there sandwiches at least near to the pictured samples. No wonder they get sued for false advertising! they deserve it . Should never have paid for this piece of crap sandwich, it ***

Rude employee
The red head girl that is there everyday think her name is "Jes". What a rude employee, she nevers smiles and commands your order then rushes you though the sub making process. She even rude to her co-workers and the owner thinks the world of her. He going to lose alot a great customers due to this employee that he likes a great deal. Please have someone other then "Jes" be your day person hate to see another small bussiness go out of bussiness.

On 2/19/10 at about 12:04pm my wife and I went to eat at Subway. This is a regular restaurant we visit. I asked the lady that was preparing my sandwich to add more tomatoes on it and she was so rude on responding why she could not put more on it. I asked her again to put more tomatoes and she told the cashier to charge me extra for it. I was explaining to her that we come here all the time and this was the first time they did that. She rudely replied "well they probably did not know." So, I asked her that she was one of the persons that would never charge extra for the tomatoe. She again rudely said to me"That was not her problem." Like I explained before this was not the first time we go there. When I asked for her name she refused to give it to me. I asked her again and she said NO. When we go by they are always taking and not paying attention to the customers . We have to repeat are orders.

Credit Card machine down
After waiting in line for 7 min. i finally get to the front to place my order and was told that the credit card machine was down and that they were only taking cash. I know it's not their fault but maybe they should have put a note on the door to inform everyone that the machine was down instead of having them wait in line and then get told that. i was on my lunch break so i had to rush somewhere else to grab a bite to eat and get back to work in time.

Don't stay open store hours as supposed too..open later and closes earlier then advertised..

giftcards
walmarts is selling gift cards for Subway that can not be scanned. I went back to walmarts where the card was bought with my receite and they said this has been happening but they cant do anything about ( No refunds or card replacement) . They said I had to call the head office. I did at 1-877-697-8222 they wont do anything about it either. All they could said was sorry but maybe someone took the card out before we bought it.
I still have a recire but now what can be done ??????????

Can they afford to turn away Money?
DON'T SHOP AT SUBWAY...


So.. I am standing in the long line at my local Subway... VERY busy for lunch.. with probably 20 people in front of me. When I get to the window.. I order.. and then when I go to pay... I am told that they do not take $100 bills. Now.. My food was over $15.. and I know that they have the change in the register because I have seen them putting cash in the drawer for the 20 people in line in front of me.

I am a little pissed... so I complain to the head office via email.. and THIS is the response I get... confrontational and condescending:

Thank you for giving me some time to respond to you.Upon reading your comments I feel I am compelled to address them one at a time.

1.Not accepting a $100 bill.

In our store it is clearly sign posted that we accept no bill larger than a $20 bill.The sign is posted in clear view at the point of order.The reasons for this are many and in the quick service food industry this is very common.It is not our intent to refuse cash, it is our intent to maintain as little cash as possible in the drawer for the safety of our employees.

2.You know we have change.

You mention that you have seen the clerks take $20 after $20 so you know we have change.Allow me to explain, we are a franchise and one of the many things that we are to follow is cash handling.As per Subway, it is recommended that we carry no more than $60 in large bills.What you saw was the sales being rung into the POS system but what you did not see is the cash drops that the POS system forces the clerks to do.Namely cash is removed from the drawer and deposited in the safe.Upon checking my tapes I
see that this was indeed done.

3. Poor management decision.

I would have to say that we are following direction and advice of Subway and that our clerk did indeed carry out the instructions that he/she was told.

4.Fight going national.

Do you mean with Subway or other businesses?
I am sorry that you feel so inclined and I will be happy to provide any other information that you need.

5.Lazy business owners.

Quite frankly I read this as a personal comment and would be happy to deal with this comment in a meeting with you should you feel that strongly. I don't feel that this belongs in a Subway related letter.

6.Company is too cheap and lazy to train.

Did you know that you can now glue and paste two bills together, for example paste a $50 bill over a $5 and that bill will not show as counterfeit? Using pens, lights etc does not work and therefore we post signs such as our and have a policy not to accept large bills.

I hope that I have managed to explain and educate you the reasons of not accepting large bills.Please let me know if you need further clarification and we hope to see you enjoying one of our famous subs soon.

Co-worker complaint
I had just started working at Subway January 28th, 2010. It was going great until one night I was scheduled to work with my co-worker, Liberty. Everyone warned me about her. They told me she was very loud, rude to customers, and had been getting lots of complaints from customers also. Ever since the first night I worked with her, she has been very rude to me.

She yells at me in front of customers for absolutely no reason at all. I try to do my job the way I was trained, and it seems every little thing I do, she watches me and yells at me if I don't do it right.

She yells at my manager, she keeps customers waiting, and she makes my day hell at work.

This address should be correct if next to ice cream place. Every time i go in there the young girl probably
owners daughter is rude. i ask her a simple ? and she just was rude even the co worker apoligize to me for that.
also they dont know how to run a respectable business with kids behind the counter playing and when they
make your sandwhich they just take their sweet ass time and i am sick of them talking over my food. please see
there is something done about this because i am not going their anymore. there is a new one to open soon on valpico/tracy blvd
and i just found out they are going to run this place also. if this happens i will take my own privite time just to boycott and let others know not to spend there money at this place.
