I got an e-mail from "Anthony Hall," "CEO" of the Right Recruitment Inc, stating that I had been referred to The Right Recruitment Inc by a "talent sourcing firm" and asking me if I was interested in a "c-level position." I was also asked to send a resume if I was interested. I sent my resume a day later. "Eric Miller" from the same company then e-mailed me stating that my resume could not be parsed correctly by the company's "candidate tracking system." The resume was resent to him the same day. He then responded stating that he had the same technical problem with the resume, and suggested using the site https://resumetester.com to "validate" my resume. The site https://resumetester.com found faults with every version of the resume submitted to it. The site went on to "strongly recommend" use of the site https://designedresumes.com. "Eric Miller" fixed an interview time line which precluded the use of any free resume optimizing services. I finally resent a resume that had been optimized using other software. I then received a final e-mail from "Eric Miller" stating that the job opportunity no longer existed because "the deal fell apart due to a conflict of interest." My impression is that this is an attempt at deception (by making a fictitious job offer) to get you to spend money on optimizing your resume. (However, I did not spend or pay any money to anyone. I just see this is a subtly layered deception scheme to get you to use a specific company's services.)
