Laser hair removal is a short procedure that takes no longer than twenty minutes and may take even less time, depending on where you want the hair removed. You should expect to feel a mild sting, that is similar to being struck with a rubber band, followed by a cooling sensation to increase comfort.
You’ll want to prepare for your laser hair removal procedure in advance. The best time to start is going to be five weeks before your scheduled appointment. Keep in mind, however, that you’ll need:
Shave the treatment area: If you don’t feel comfortable shaving the treatment area, we can do this for you on the day of the appointment.
Avoid tanning: This includes tanning beds and sunless tanners
Avoid waxing, tweezing, plucking and electrolysis
On the day of your laser hair removal procedure do not use lotions, makeup, perfumes, deodorant, and creams on or around the treatment area.
