Bad Business practices
I purchased a vehicle in March of 2009 using financing from Wachovia Dealer Service. Wells Fargo bought them out about 4 months ago. I lost my Job in July of 2009 and was still making payments up to Nov 2009. I found a Job in Nov but got injured 2 weeks on the job and have been in Disability to this date. I called the bank to tell them what had happened to me and to see if they could reduce the interest of 19.99 to help lower the payment as workers comp doesnt pay much. They stated they could not help me at all unless i make 12 payments first and have a full time job making a certain amount. They stated that even then they may not be able to help. I know banks can reduce rates and help as long as u make the minimum reduced payment amount. I fell behind a couple months and still trying to get the bank to help but nothing. I was willing to at least make the principle amount but they dont care. The manager said i was threating her by trying to tell her its BS that they cant lower my interst and she hung up on me. The Repo guy was at my door the next day. Wells Fargo left me with no car now and i have to get around to doctor and around town on Crutches. So nice of us Tax payers to bail them out of their mistakes for the housing problems but they cant help consumers when in need. Do not get a loan with Wells Fargo unless you have the money to pay them back fast and you dont lose your job or get hurt.

Made Payment but took car away
As with a lot of people around the country, I am having some financial difficulties. Got behind on my car loan payments. Received a phone call stating that the car would be repossessed if they did not receive my current late payments (totaling just a little over $1, 000) by 5:00PM. Was able to borrow the money and wired the payment to Wells Fargo. As I am sitting in my car waiting on hold to speak with an account manager, Repo man comes in and hooks my car up to his truck. Finally got on the phone with the agent and gives them confirmation that the payment was sent but tells me that there is nothing they can do as the Repo company already has my car hooked up. Superior manager happens to be out of the office and I cannot speak with someone until tomorrow. I'm not blaming anyone about being late as it is my responsibility to make sure that I make my payments on time but why would they tell me that I have up until 5:00PM to make the payment before a repo man is sent out to retrieve the car. I was also told after the car had been taken away that my situation would have to be reviewed by a manager to see if I can even retrieve the car.

Auto Loans
Wells Fargo's underhanded business dealing are not limited to Home Loans/Mortgages. I was unfortunate enough to not only have my primary checking and savings accounts through Wells Fargo, but my Auto Loan as well.
Like many others I was caught in this trap when Wells Fargo bought out Wachovia. While dealing with Wachovia for several years before the take over I had no problems with either my online banking or the Auto Loan. On the rare occasions a mistake was discovered the customer service people at Wachovia were always courteous and helpful. After the take over I closed my banking accounts upon discovering that I was being charged NSF charges on debits drawn on my automatic payroll deposit which was held for 2 weeks or longer on every deposit leaving me constantly in debt. Unfortunately I was unable to transfer the car loan. Last spring due to an unauthorized payment by an outside party drawn on my private checking account, my auto payment was returned. I was unaware of this until notified by the bank several weeks after the event. On investigating, the problem was located, and shortly after I was contacted by Wells Fargo via USPS and they were made aware of the situation. As my next payment was now due I attempted to go on-line as I had always done but was unable to complete the transaction as I was now "locked out". Without an address to send the payment to I was now 2 months in arrears! This has been a constant nightmare of trying to "catch up" for almost 1/2 a year. Yesterday my 2004 Dodge Durango was taken from my home along with my camera, my medications, my purse containing close to $400.00 in cash, credit cards, debit card, checks and other banking information, my social security card, etc. leaving me financially destitute and with out my prescription medication which I am unable to replace over the weekend. This occurred AFTER I had made a payment in the required loan amount of $460.10 3 days prior as per an agreement made via telephone the proceeding week! I have been deceived and lied to by these people who I have since discovered receive a commission on any money paid. I have been promised extensions, refinancing options, discontinuation of collection proceedings... anything to get more money from me! I have been constantly harassed to point where I hate speaking to these obnoxious people as it just seems to go no where other the making me angry and frustrated. I am constantly called at work even though I have stated it is placing my job in jeopardy. A pox on Wells Fargo and it's lying, deceitful minions! If anyone out there is considering a class action suite against these shysters please count me in!

pay off problems
I have been trying to pay off my loan through Wells Fargo Dealer's Services. They first gave me wrong pay off balance online and after I submitted it, they sent additional charges saying the payment was late. After I attempted contacting them to discuss this charges, they said their supervisors were busy and they would not be able to talk to me. I ended up having to pay extra charges. I will never use Wells Fargo again. NO MORE BAIL OUTS!!!

Illegal repoession
Wells Fargo illegally repoed my vehicle at 2 am 10/3/2010 !! I recieved no notice. The co-signer evn recieved no notice. The repo business ripped the driveway all up. When I called Wells Fargo they said they never recieved a payment. It was sent a month prior!! I put a trace and they just simply said that if it was thier mistake they would correct it. How? Return a 4x4 that was dragged out and not even in neutral? DO NOT speak to Lydia at the presidents office. For that matter here is the number complain, complain... 1-877-250-2265. Ask for a person higher than this office and they claim they are the highest. Hmmph!! Take a look at these websites: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39876275/

This company hired people off the streets that knew nothing about contracts to just simply sign the paperwork so it would be processed. How is this legal? And why would any company even begin to think this was right? I am suing!! Please keep this and know I am not afraid to share my experience. These are pictures of documents and my Durango they illegally repoed.

Bad customer service
They told me I was eligible for a deferment since the loan was in good standings for 3 years but after I was transferred and sat on hold for a while I was told I wasn't cause I work on a commission basis when I have for 7 years and when they wrote the loan I was too. I asked to speak with a manager and the guy refused several times to get a manager until I had to yell at him. Then he gets a very young unprofessional girl on the line who was just laughing at me like I was some kind of joke. When I told her I'm sure she'snot a manager she didn't say anything cause she knows I was right. I would not recommend ANYONE getting a loan for this company!! I'm a hard working single mother not a joke!

Horrible customer Service!
I have been round and round with these rude people! Do NOT finance with them! My daughter helps pay a small portion of the payment and she had some medical issues and and was trying to get caught up on her bills. We were only behind 2 weeks and she called to inform them for me (she has permission on the account). They tell her "Why don't you have the loan with us?" She says, "because its my moms car plus she has better credit anyways" And the man replies "Well no wonder you don't have the loan in the first place. You can't even afford to make any payments." And then he starts yelling at her! I will state that the reason she fell behind was because she had to undergo chemotherapy (which they knew). She was already feeling horrible and they just added to it. They actually almost lost their house with Wells Fargo...but pulled through and was calling wells fargo dealer services about my vehicle just to let them know we fell a couple weeks behind. I was furious, called back, and i was told that if 1 payment is overdue 30 days, they will reposes my vehicle...1 payment! These people were rude jerks. He set up 2 payments to be taken out. One the day before I got paid but was supposed to be taken out after business hours so It would not be taken out of my bank account until the next day and another 2 weeks later...well, he forgot to note the account about the first payment being taken out after hours and guess what!?! overdraft! He also failed to tell me it was a $10 charge for each payment set up... Until I received a letters in the mail describing fees and banks overdraft fees! After calling back to cancel that last payment set up, I was told "i should of known about that"...how am i supposed to know if no one tells me! Anyhow, that doesn't even skim the issues i've had with this company!

Poor service
We fell behind on our auto loan, and wells fargo repossesed our vehicle. We had to come up with $1, 900 to reinstate the loan, which was sent by moneygram to them on a Friday morning. We have to pay an additional $25 a day in storage fees. When the car was repossesed, I contacted them and have been working on this for over 5 days, they have their money, I don't have my car and I now owe $150 in storage fees. Because of an error in wells fargo sending the release fax to the wrong phone number, there will be another day of storage fees assesed. They showed absolutely no concern for their mistake, put no effort in to helping us get our car back in a timely manner, and were all around rude and difficult to work with. At one point an employee told me, "if I show you compassion, I have to show everyone compassion..." That statement basically sums up the service provided by wells fargo. I urge anyone of you reading this that may have a vehicle financed by wells fargo to strongly reconsider, no vehicle is worth the amount of aggravation this company has caused us.
I wonder how much the employees of wells fargo were paid for their souls?

RUDE Customer Service
Last year in April I bought my daughter a car. The finance company that approved the loan was originally Wachovia. We had no issues up until they were bought out by Wells Fargo. My daughter lost her job last November, and had a hard time keeping up with the payments only receiving unemployment each week. In the past 3 to 4 months we have had nothing but harassment from them.

My daughter is currently 31 days behind on her bill, and I have had non stop phone calls from their collections department demanding the past due amount be paid in full this week or "further actions" will be done. One lady I spoke with claimed we were behind more than we actually were, and later had to correct herself. The man we have been dealing with is rude, insulting, non cooperative, non understanding and just cold. They call me at home, work and on the cell phone. We have asked them to help us out by deferring a payment for now, or helping us refinance the loan so our payments can go down, but they denied us both! We have been sending them checks for what we can afford each week and their collection agent says it's "unacceptable" and must be paid in full, yet they have no issue cashing those unacceptable checks! We are only behind $150 and this is the treatment we get!

My daughter has told the collection agent to not call me at work, so I can do my job and get money to pay their bill, but the jerk continues to interrupt me at work.

I filed a report with the FTC about their collection policy, but I'm sure it won't do any good. We will probably continue to be harassed and belittled by the unknown collection agent until the day we find an auto loan company to refinance our loan.

Anyone out there looking to buy a car, DO NOT ACCEPT A LOAN FROM WELLS FARGO!!! If you go through a rough patch, they will not help you out or understand your situation!

Sincerely,
Nancy

payments
it started off as wachovia then wells fargo bought them out now what i can't figure out is why and i mean why would it cost more to pay it off then doing monthly payments. example would be if joe had 3500 left in payments til he gets the title however he's thinking why not pay it off. researching he finds out that the 3500 he has in payments is going to cost say 3600. who in the write mind does this why should it cost more to pay off a vehicle when it should be much less
