I am a student at Cal Poly Pomona. I am unhappy because the course requirements listed as 24 units to complete the program. However, They added 6 more units after any student got accepted. I wish they disclose all the required courses at the beginning so students can make a better decision whether to attend there or at other institutions. But after waiting for a "Degree" for over 2 months, calling everyday for information, having different people telling you different things, it got very annoying and tiresome. Heald 'for-profit' college states on their website: "Because Heald is regionally accredited, it has articulation agreements with other regionally accredited institutions that accept Heald credits toward bachelor’s degree programs. This means that you can transfer your credits if you choose to pursue further education.*" Before a student enrolls at Heald they SHOULD check with four year accredited colleges first. I filled out the form, indicating that I have a Master's degree already, but I am interested in gaining education in forensic science to go with my current degrees. I am VERY disappointed with the career services department at Kaplan College Vista Campus. I started working with career services in June even before I finished my externship. I graduated with a 4.0 in August. I have deligently called my rep and went in to the office at the campus. I have done mock interviews and updated my resume as I was instructed to do. They duped my wife into believing that she could be eligible for grant assistance, and very persuasively got her to commit to an online course. When I found out, it was 2 weeks into the online course. I told her to cancel immediately, since we had NO money to afford such a commitment. The owners of Siam international school are fighting among themselves for ownership of the school. They do not care about the students and the staff. What it all boils down to is that many of these big trucking companies like CRST get $11, 000 from the government for each person they send to a driving school that graduates. So they offer to send you to school and pay for it under the guise that you will work for them under a contract for 8 months in return for them sending you to school. This college is TERRIBLE! I started out in the Las Vegas location when it was called "Las Vegas College". In the middle of my program, they moved the campus to Henderson, which was an additional 30 minutes one way to get there. They did not offer any compensation for the move.
