This company called reference sending me information to help my son prepare for the sat. They said my son had requested this information. My son was not at home at the time. I gave them my credit card info. I have called 2 times and they say the information is on its way to me..I have never received this. I am not sure if this is a legal company. I completed my Bachelors in Visual Communications from Westwood College a few years ago. I too had a meeting with tech skills to see what they could offer. During the meeting, I became suspicious and decided to check for complaints online. I found this website with numerous complaints! Kaplan College was a waste of money, I was enrolled there in Bakersfield ca, in the criminal justice program. I was misled into thinking the education I went there to get was accredited and professional. the program was supposed to have hands on training and instead was an education equivalent to high school. I set up lessons with Amadeus in July 2008 for my three kids. Teachers were supposed to call me the week before August 22 to set up lesson times. No teacher EVER called. I graduated in 2003 with my Associates degree in Business Administration. The reps told me I could transfer all my credits to any university well I went to University of LaVerne and they only accepted 24 credits. I got a loan for almost $8, 000 just for an AA. As a parent of a child in Sagemont School, I am appalled at the pandering and special treatment 'some' students receive. This school puts money before everything. The teachers are not only mean, but also nasty to students who are not 'favored'. Complaints to the administration go unheeded. Yes High Tech Institute is full of incompetent, lying employees! I was approved for a loan, and they failed to send in the promissory note paperwork, and my loan was canceled.
