I signed up to Kingsborough in 2006 and met with a Nursing adviser before I did so. He told me that it takes on average 2 years to complete the Nursing program. I signed up for classes in 2007. Within 3 days of me signing up for classes I found out that I was pregnant and very ill! I was put on bed rest with dehydration I contacted the college immediatly to explain my situation and request that I be withdawn from the program the college never returned my calls! I recently dropped out of ITT Technical College to attend college elsewhere because I was paying a lot of money to learn NOTHING. Because the school is such a rip-off, my financial aid didn't cover all of the tuition, and I had to get a loan from the school. Since last year they have opened the doors a lot wider and now...in years past the cubicles hardly ever had grafitti. My son has been in this academy for 3 years. This year a new staff was hired, the new teachers hired have no love towards the students. They're rude and mean towards the students. This college has been around for many years and broadcast tons of commercial targeting middle to low class people. They offer different degrees and diplomas but do not have the resources or the educated instructors to teach students going into any field. I am a college & MBA graduate, so I know enough math to be better than dangerous. I signed up my twins for dreambox's k-3 math, which is supposedly personalized to both of them. First of all the company required a credit card for a "free trial" (huh?) -- that should have been a warning sign itself. Then they actually charged my credit card!!! You don't always get what you pay for!!! My son and I did one year at the ITT campus in Thornton CO. My intention was to get my bachelor degree and get certified as AN EE. My son did the same and his intention was to go to the army at the officer candidate school. Well in a nutshell, the liscensing board of the state of CO does not accept ITT as a 4 year degree, and my son cannot enroll in the army with an ITT bachelor. This school is so not worth it. The price it cost might as well take of classes at a real college. They require you to take out loans to attend. I went to Bay State College for Fashion Merchandising and its a really close knit community. While I don't have any problems with the school itself, and classes, its the dorms. They are absolutely HORRIBLE!!! First off, at $12k a year for what I'm getting, I could be getting a lot more. They cram 4 people in a tiny 15 x 10 room with barely enough room to move.
