Since last year they have opened the doors a lot wider and now...in years past the cubicles hardly ever had grafitti. Now a particular male (race withheld) who is obviously very insecure prowls the place and marks up the stalls with obscenities, graphics etc. When a complaint was made to the staffsperson, she acted very constipated towards complainer. She put on a great show of talking and chatting and acting as if it was the most unusual thing. I pointed out that if she didn't believe me, all she or they had to do was walk upstairs. Obviously that was too far a walk. They said a security person would check, but of course that too was just talk. The library is already not very secure because they allow riffraff to come into the library who are not even students. It is one thing to show liberality, but it is another to wonder what strange pervert might be prowling about. Once there was a perfumed (race withheld) crossdresser who sat right across from me in his lady's fur coat. He proceeded to read and look up at me every so often. Of course I moved away, but why was he even there. At least they have a complaints box.
