I am a former student. This program is nothing but a waste of money. The schools they are afilliated with are good schools, but they can be accessed via direct admission. What this program has done is become the middle man, and has forced the school abroad to only accept US students from their program. Dependant daughter needed another loan to attend college in PA and asked me to apply for the Parent Plus Loan it sounded like a great ideal at the time, but turned into the worst nightmare I ever had and I know my daughter has other outstanding loans with these people and that scares me! I recently completed an online high school diploma course from Stratford Career Institute.I tried to enroll for school or this fall and the school said that the diploma was not accredited and could not be accepted. Stratford claims that it is a career diploma only and there web site states its a "HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA". I was promised three weeks ago that they would do so. I have signed a contract to enroll into a Private Vocational Nursing program. The cost of the program was "outined" to include books and materials such as the laptop that is necessary for the online mandatory testing that accounts for part of our grade on each particular module. In the student handbook and in the enrollment contract, there was never a mention of having to pay additional monies for instruction online, or otherwise. If you are considering spending thousands of dollars on sailing lessons; look at the other school in San Carlos. If you choose the San Carlos Sailing School, you will not be treated to sailing lessons but rather to intense personal degradation and be placed in an extremely hostile environment.
