I came across this website offering CD for $2.29 Shipping only. However, I didn't get the CD and they charged me $39.95 monthly fee. I called the 800 # from my bank report 1-800-487-7085 and spent more than 15 minutes trying to get the person (in India) to understand I wanted to cancel my account. I have verified with my bank, Wells Fargo, that this is an ongoing scam for fictitious company and was able to dispute the charge. A lesson learned in buyer beware. read full review »

Katharine Gibbs School
DanaD82985 March 9, 2009
I attended Katharine Gibbs School in Piscataway, New Jersey in January 06. When I filled out my paperwork upon entrance to the school I was informed that my mother would have to co-sign the $25, 000 loan..proceeding to almost double to $40, 000 with interest, as per Sallie Mae loans...the only loan company this school provided. I signed up to the school for a certificate in Visual Communications, and was told that the school went on for 9 months. After I graduated, top in my class, I was promised a career. I received e-mails from the job... read full review »

I enrolled at iadt-Seattle in 05' and recientily graduated in june of last year. My experience at iadt started out on a sour note with the addmission rep who signed me up learning of my sexual life style oreintation, months later i would notice various addmissions staff members looking at me funny and laughing one to another or to their selves which led me to believe that private details of my sexual oreintation had been discussed throughout the staff. Experiencing that caused me all kinds of internal discomfort and indecision about even... read full review »

I purchased the Cleared for Takeoff software Series. This consisted of 20 disks with lessons for flight school on each disk. I was able to use disk 1 to 6 but after lesson 6 the software kept telling me I had to be registered to use the software. I registered using my included registration code, also went to my flight school who confirmed I was registered in the system. I contacted King Schools directly and received a very unprofessional customer service experience. They Basically told me that it was not their job to aid customers and that I... read full review »

Positive Experience at BTT College / DCA Institute Of Technology To stay competitive within the IT industry I wanted to complete my MCSE certification, after reading the newspaper one day I saw an advertisement from BTT College offering the MCSE course among others. I called the number in the AD and I spoke to Ash, he invited me and my family in for a meeting so we can see the environment and get a better understanding of what the course is about. I am having exactly the same problem. I ordered some LCR dice games. They sent me a notice the order had shipped and charged my credit card. After weeeks of waiting the games are still not here. I've e mailed several times and got no response. There's not a phone number for them I can find. I tried the tracking number they gave me and the post office says they receieved electronic advice to expect a parcel for shipment but so far it has not arrived. I'm pulling my hair out. I think I've been scammed. I'm about to take more serious action as well. Steve-o from Florida read full review »

CSB is a total scam. $11000 for what? You can get a AA degree in broadcasting from your local junior college for less than half that. I went to the CSB in northern NJ back in the early 90s when it was in Rochelle Park, NJ. Back then it was like $4000 to go. The place is a total joke. The equipment is outdated and never working properly. Their claim of 'helping you start a career in broadcasting' consisted of photocopied pages from a broadcasting magazine. If you really want to test the value of a CSB education, send out fake... read full review »

I cannot understand how a company can use a government acronym like the letters fasfa and not be considered scaming people. I googled fasfa to fill out application for student aid for my son. fasfa.com is the first thing to pop up so I filled out application then paid $79.00 from my debit card only to find out the real site is fasfa.ed.gov and it is free to apply. I think GOOGLE should not allow them to use the same acronym as it is very misleading and taking advantage of parents trying to get some financial aid for students. fasfa.com charged my debit card immediatly but the application was not processed that day which was the deadline to apply. read full review »

I attended Gibbs school/college, I was told that my education would be very prestigious and I would have no trouble finding work. They were a little helpful in trying to find me work when I was still there, but I just went to their site and none of the classes I took are no longer in the curriculum.I feel that they were holding classes that were not up to date, and were not futuristic of the current job market and economy. read full review »

Before enrolling I was very concerned about my aid covering every expense. I was told it would cover my costs and after five weeks of begging for them to help me and explain the process to me. I found myself struggling with a bill and I have no idea what I am even paying for. I also was told they would block my classes if I did not call them. Why bother to call because they do not care about my finances. I live on a very tight budget of $792 a month and there is no way I cannot afford their expenses. I am sending forth this complaint about GCU (Grand Canyon University) which is supposed to be a Christian college. I had been wanting to attend school at GCU since Dec. 2007. Wow, I can not believe this group, they totally ripped me off and I found out they have ripped off several other people from rip-off as well. I wish I would have read this before I started working with them. The funny thing is they used to be called 'W Talent' and now they changed their name to United Talent Group. I spent one full year in the paralegal program at this college. I barely learned a thing! They expect you to read 10+ chapters a week, (sometimes that is one class!), and then you answer one question on the discussion board and do some cheesy assignment that usually consists of a couple of sentences in Word and sent as an attachment, then you get an A for that. They gave us temporary access to Westlaw in ONE class, (a law search engine so to speak), and didn't even help us as a class on how to use it. They don't even have... read full review »

Also, it turned out I was due a letter explaining my loan in details before needing to sign the note. Guys, don't let private schools manipulate you! It seems strange for the school to send out a letter to everyone saying that the new cameras were installed at the middle school inside and out to hold the children and staff accountable. Are they having problems with the staff? Are they having problems with the children that the staff couldn't get off their ass and go stop? The money could have been much better spent on books and classroom supplies for the classroom budgets that keep getting cut. Veritasprep is apparently in the business of gmat prep but makes false claims about the qualifications of instructors. It claims that all of its instructors are 99th percentile but people who have taught for the company confirm that they had not scored in the 99th percentile. The company is allegedly run by a lawyer who should know better than to make deceptive claims. Veritas claims it supplies 14 tests but they are all sourced from companies that are selling the software themselves. Veritas marks up those tests obscenely and makes you pay an arm and a leg. Beware of tall claims by Veritasprep company. read full review »

I have a complaint, it has been brought to our attention that the students don't feel they are getting the education they signed and paid for. The facility is like a high school with students running around, acting like middle school, surfing the internet instead of attending the clients. Wet towels on the floors, combs being dropped and picked right up and used on a client. I have observed this behaviour every time I go in. Keiser University does not clearly display their tuitions and fees on their site nor do they clarly explain what the fees and tuitions are during the orientation. Full time students take 4 classes (term 1, 2, 3 & 4) per semester and 1/2 time takes 2 classes per semester (terms 1, 2 & 3.4) concentration classes are 4 credits and gen. ed. classes are 3 credit... read full review »
