ITT Tech
momdidi February 5, 2009
I attended this school for almost 3 years. I am now more than $40, 00 in debt and still have no degree. I recently transferred to a new school and ITT TECH will not release my transcripts because on top of the loans, they claim I now owe them $1200. I am a single mom of two and out on disability. First this school did not teach me anything, as I received no help from the instructors and most of their books are specially printed just for them. They refused to help me when I requested help it from the professors and as it was some of the... read full review »

Javelin Technical Training
Shiva February 5, 2009
I was displaced by hurricane Katrina in Sept. of 2005 to Atlanta, GA where my dad lives. While there I decided to attend Javelin Technical Training. The people in Admin. told me nothing but good things about this program for medical/billing coding (moe) like: one on one teching, good computer learning programs, good teachers, etc. With all this said and done us students was teaching each other, the teachers was actual previous students due to not finding employment, we didn't even have the coding books for the course included in... read full review »

Kaplan University Online fake IT Master degree programs
Gail Nelson February 2, 2009
My friend is doing her IT online Master degree program, at Kaplan Univeristy, and told her not to go there, as they did not require any testing, or GRE, nothing, except, her resume, which they didn't call on either. However my friend write at the ability of no higher than 6th grader and it isn't even correct. I use to be a System Analyst, Computer programmer. She became defensive when I told her that going to Kaplan University is actually kind of a mark against you because it means that a she can't write her a Graduate... read full review »

Freely Business School
Ben February 2, 2009
Clemen Chiang stated that he had conducted in depth research into options trading and said that it had amounted to a PhD paper being recognized (PhD is actually from a Degree Mill known as Preston). His eventual method is nothing but a gamble on the earnings report of a company using options. Any seasoned trader will tell you that such a method is highly speculative and there can be no predictability. Clemen also failed to mention that the volatility drops after an earnings report and this has a negative impact on the option price. The... read full review »

Allied School
Yensen January 31, 2009
I enrolled in the medical billing division of this school. I was extremely disappointed with the course material. It was out of date and full of discrepancies- everything from numbers transposed to incorrect information. The customer service, or student service, reps were, for the most part, very unprofessional. When I decided to cancel my enrollment and opt for a refund I found that they do not honor the written agreement for refunds. The refund policy is stated in the student handbook and on the companies website. However, they... read full review »

CARRIE January 29, 2009
Website doesn't give all the information that goes along with ordering the $9.95 CD. They then send you another language kit which costs about $250 in 4 payments. I returned mine immediately but they say they never received it and will go to a collection agency for payment. read full review »

Bacone College
mom January 29, 2009
This school is a place you do not want to attend. The dorm is an old motel. The rooms are gross and moldy and need painting and much more. No closet, no desks. The internet is sporadic. There is a pool onsite that is not used and it is black and dangerous. There are no activities here. No student activities except the sport you play. Cafeteria is awful. They tell you lies and take your money. If you decide to leave on the first day of class they will charge you $2000 and will not release transcripts from prior semester until paid. If you play... read full review »

Meditec
Lara January 28, 2009
I originally signed up for a paralegal course through Meditec in August of 2006. Due to health problems, I never completed the course. However, I had to pay for the course, anyway, since I took out a loan for it. I currently pay approximately $300.00 a month on that loan. Fast forward to now. The collection agency that handled my original loan with Meditec now is demanding $1900.00 for a course I allegedly signed up for last November through Meditec. I NEVER signed up for any course. In fact, I was attending college at another school at... read full review »

I had contacted PADI because we had a previous instructor that was teaching students at our Dive Shop called Discover Diving Dive Center. The previous instructor was William H. Holder which collected thousands of dollars from students and never performed any of the classes. The owner of the Dive Shop had been contacted by many of the students that were never taught and wanted to know what was going on. For weeks after William H. Holder had been dismissed for theft by check and for taking money from students there were many students coming in... read full review »

Thrive Learning Institute / Infusion Media
GregJ73 January 27, 2009
As many have already stated, Thrive Learning Institute does not offer what the sales team such as Infusion Media say they offer. Like many others, we were committed to starting an online business and Thrive Learning Institute seemed perfect for us based on what the salesman said they would do. My wife and I spent a total of 6 hours on different phone calls with these salesmen from Infusion Media. We asked very specific questions on how our $10, 000 was going to be spent. Some of these questions included: 1. Does the $10, 000 cover the... read full review »

These chain of schools is a scam, and 95% of the graduates from this school are burdened with debt that they can never repay. They will promise you the moon to get you to sign on the dotted line, but after that you are on your own. Jobs after graduation? Impossible. Five to ten dollars an hour to work in a restaurant, bookstore, or the mall. And of course, the unpaid internship. All of the jobs they offered were taken directly from the local newspapers. Since 1999, my son -- currently Assistant Athletic Director at Carnegie Mellon University -- has been victimized, endangered and libeled by the National Academy of American Scholars, Inc., and its mirror operations, Education USA Management, Ltd. and Golden Bear Media, which are being run as one scholarship scam entity. I started part time, taking a single math course to see if I would like Devry. The bills started coming in the second week of class and right away I was alarmed. I have had terrible problems with kaplan. Soon as I picked up my grades to get my AA. They dropped me and told me I had to resubmit as a returning student. 4 to 6 weeks. They never return my phone calls or email but the financial aid department calls everyday. They also told me they don't do business with citibank anymore. When I called citibank they said kaplan has me listed as a current student. Citibank has sent them almost $6, 000.oo.Citibank says they are looking into it. I have made yet another attempt to rectify the lack of communication, statements and loan coupons from Sallie Mae, to no avail. They consistently refuse to do what they ask, despite the fact that my daughter, for whom I cosigned, is unemployed and unable to make the payments. I attended Everest Institute (formerly NIT) in Dearborn, MI for Massage Therapy in feb of 2007. I was very confused when I was first denied financial aid without a co-signer but was later 'accepted' completely on my own. I didn't question this until I later quit this hoax of a 'school'. I liked the program at the beginning until they decided they were going to change our 'mods' or classes around e.g. start at mod D, then go through E-G back to AB and C. It sounded like a great opportunity a one stop chance to get my CDL and get a job. Then told us that if we didn't go to our extern sites by August 14 to complete our 180 hours, that we would not graduate with the class. Marcus January 13, 2009
Ultimate Medical Academy promises a lot, but the promises are empty. When speaking to an advisor before attending classes, one is promised so much. Especially what is underscored is that one would be working in the medical field, where there are always jobs. The classes were described to me as being six months long for an MCLA (Medical Clinical Lab Assistant). In fact, there are four mods which are about a month long each. So much work is crammed into that time to get students in and out of the school. It is almost like an assembly line... read full review »

I was contacted by Warren National University about continuing my education. I enrolled and sent them a large sum of money. They enrolled me in some classes and I never heard from them again. When I completed all my classes I stopped sending them any more money. I've tried repeatedly for over a year to get enrolled in addtional classes, or get a refund. They have refused all contact except an email a few months ago advising me to be patient. BEWARE of this organization, if that's what you call them. Beware!!! Mike Pointer/Hey I Saw Your Commercial is a scam. Will trick you into falling victim of his plan, by being super nice and getting you to pay a deposit, that was theoretical refundable. And then have you write/sing your name on a sign up sheet that supposedly gives him authority over your credit card. Beware, it might end up costing you more, to clean his mess, than going somewhere else for guidance in your acting career. Brian Simmons read full review »

Just a note to people who think that Catholic schools are the best. It has been my experience that the boys who attend Brophy college prep in Phoenix are among the rudest most contemptible young men I have ever met. Obviously, their Ivy league education teaches them nothing about respect and manner off campus. I would say that the apple probably does not fall far from the tree and that they are your typical Catholic hypocrites. On campus and on school events they are the pillars of the community but away from the watchful eye of... read full review »
