I travelled to Singapore on Singapore Air. They are a Star Alliance partner so you earn Voyager miles. One would assume that when you book the flight and provide your voyager membership number, one would be credited with the miles. I now need to book a flight using these miles and they have after 2 months not been credited yet. So I call the toll free number and am told to POST by registered mail ( I mean really) the physical boarding stubs to Voyager, so that they can confirm that I was actually on the flight.
