We went on a ten day cruise on the Norewegian Dawn in January 2011. They charged us a compulsory $400 automatic gratuity as part of their Free Style cruising. The cruise was good but I could not tip the guys who made my trip good unless I tipped above the $400 I knew I was going to pay on my Visa. There were waiters trying to sell me a drink every ten minutes and in the cafeteria scores of waiters clearing plates before you were finished.
