I have been dealing with Sanyo in regards to this particular telephone since January 12, 2006. The defective telephone unit was sent back to Ontario via courier (Sanyo refused any other type of method of return) at my expense of 30.15. The subsequent replacement was returned to me on February 2-06 and did not work at all, whereas the unit I returned had a defective base-charger and was at least useable although it had an annoying beeping noise detectable by the person I was calling, but not by myself (I experienced "cutting out" ).
