Four and a half years ago I purchased a Maytag Neptune front loader washing machine - and the nightmare began. I did purchase an extended warranty which is the only reason I kept the machine. It has been nothing but trouble, many service calls, many new parts. It would not spin out a load with more than 2 bath towels or 3 pair of jeans, it shook so badly we have cracks in our wall and ceiling and it had a bad smell inside, despite numerous cleanings.
