I really believe that Standard Bank's My Updates SMS service is a money-making scheme because the service does not really "update" you. I get the wrong balances on my account, which makes me think that I still have more money so I keep spending only to get a heart attack later when I get the actual balance. I also discovered that I have an overdraft which I specifically refused when opening the account.
