PC PhoneHome (a program marketed by Brigadoon Software) is advertised on the Internet as a security product with sophisticated after-sales backup. It sends "stealth" emails each time the computer goes online so that, if it has been stolen, it can be tracked down in conjunction with the police as part of the Brigadoon after-sales service.
