Direct Energy - Incompetent employees. My electric statement arrived on Friday, Aug. 14 (the due date), so I immediately called Direct Energy and told the rep. I wanted to pay a portion of the bill (had never asked to pay only a portion of my bill in my lifetime...was always on time). She said she would waive the $2.95 "pay by phone" and the late charge since I received my bill on the due date.
