I applied for a unsecured loan of £8, 500 and had to pay a fee of £55 to proceed with the application. I received documentation from another firm asking for information from me and had a loan offer from a company called FLM for £3, 000 and not the amount i applied for and also asking for a guarantor. Their terms and condition state if i am declined for a loan i will receive a refund of the £55 fee, so i am confident the loan offer was made to avert them from having to do this.
