I paid in £800 cash on the 6th of April to transfer £749 to a university in America. 3 days later, the transfer had gone though but there was no record of the £800 I paid in. As the bloke behind the counter only gave me on receipt (i found out later that was for the transfer but not the deposit), Barclays refused to investigate any further.
