On October 23, 2009 my son was driving his 1997 Cavalier on the highway at 55mph when the passenger side airbag deployed. This cause damage to the dash and the windshield. We ended up having the car towed, could not see to drive with broken windshield. I called GM about the deployment, they wanted to inspect the vehicle. Cost of towing was 95.00, new windshield 325.00, estimate to fix dash and replace airbag is almost $2000.00.
