My wife had applied for a passport renewal 4 months back through post (big mistake) and we still have not received it back. I have to appreciate their email in response to our email query that the police clearance is awaited and hence the chennai high commission has not confirmed it. We waited for another 1 month and then wrote a complaint to the High Commissioner and to the HCI london. Hurrah a response raying they will look into it.
