My friend and I wanted to buy iphones yesterday at a telecommunications company in Taiwan called Aurora, which seemed like a company with a good reputation. As we approached the service counter, the clerk started the conversation with: NO! No! English! Using hand signs we kindly asked her to phone the service center in order for us to speak to an English consultant to explain what we wanted to buy.
