Verizon sales staff and support specialists are either willfully misleading customers about their global sales plans or simply don't understand the plans themselves. I was sold a 100MB plan for access in Italy at the same cost that I had purchased data access for on my iphone. Unlike my iphone and AT&T, however, the data access I purchase was only the amount I would owe to Verizon. I actually owed exorbitant fees to a number of Italian service providers for roaming.
