I received my replacement credit card from Citibank which required activation from my home phone. After calling the number listed and confirming my card number, I was directed to an individual who tried to sell me some type of credit card monitoring service. Not wanting to be impolite, I listened until he finished and then was asked if I wanted the service. I answered no and asked the individual to confirm that my credit card was activated.
