I tried to claim back for a doctor's bill only to be shortchanged by nearly R400. This was because they made a billing mistake in 2006, allegedly paid me instead of the doctor, and now the remainder of that bill was deducted from my current claim. You would think that in 4 years I could have been informed about it. Furthermore, the allegation that I had been reimbursed (via e-mail) and the actual payment did not correspond.
