I fell behind 4 months on my CITI mortgate and called to see what could be done to avoid forclosure. I was able to immediately pay the last 3 months but the girl on the phone wanted to set up an arrangement to "catch up" on the outstanding balance by adding $800 to my monthly payments for the next 6 months. I explained this would be difficult because it's hard enough to pay the reqular amount.
