Leon's Furniture - Canada
November 6, 2007
Leon's Furniture - Canada www.leons.ca Credit Scam - Don't buy from Leons Furniture! In 1996 I purchased a new Washer and Dryer from Leons under the don't pay for a year event. I paid for the washer and dryer in full before the year was due. Between 2002-2003 someone had called me from an agency stating that they had taken over all of Leon's accounts, and they wanted me to provide proof of payment for the washer and dryer! I stated that my records (now over 6-7 years) were destroyed and I could not... read full review »

November 2, 2007
Dureing the last week of September, 2007, my future brother in-law phoned us, and told us of an 31ft Springdale camper trailer for sale at Canada 1 RV's. It had been hail damaged and fell on it's side in the wind, but explained that the price was good, and for our purpose's we should come look. We had ask him earlier in the fall to watch for a camper for, as he owns one and knows some dealers around the city. Infact, his camper was purchased from Canada 1 RV's. We arived at Canada 1 RV's at 11am and were... read full review »

Norton 360
October 30, 2007
I have now spent at least 20 hours trying to get the LiveUpdate function of Norton 360 software to work! At least 12 hours of this has been online with there so called 'analyst' when they have taken remote control of my computer, but still seem unable to get it to work. The rest of the time has been back and forth with emails to there support department. It seems that they get a stage when they have tried all the standard solutions and then they just abandon you. You no longer here from them. Has anybody out there had similar problems? read full review »

Telus [B.C.] Internet Services Billing
October 30, 2007
Using TD's Bank online payment facility to pay all my bills in that fashion, I also added TELUS as one of the monthly payments' recipients. It worked well, I thought, and there was no further correspondence between me and TELUS regarding any discrepancies or unusual account details. This arrangement lasted for as long and since I used TD's online banking system; I do not recall the precise date but it would date back a considerable number of months. Great! I travel a lot and use my laptop to meet my financial... read full review »

Canadian Tire Money
October 28, 2007
Why is it acceptable for Canadian Tire to insult all Scots and racially stereotype them as money-grabbing & tighfisted. The giggling Jock image on their money is hugely insulting and if you think I'm over-reacting, substitute the image for one of someone (stereotypically) Jewish, rubbing their hands with glee at getting 5 cents back from their shopping trip!! read full review »

Lifetouch Photography
October 27, 2007
Lifetouch - www.lifetouch.com In early September I purchased school portraits for my son. The photographer screwed up and mixed up some orders. My son was to have a grey background (he picked out a dark green shirt). What arrived had a dark blue background which made th picture way too dark. I followed th instructions on how to return it-to the local Lifetouch Office. I sent it on 9-17. On 9-24, they charged my credit card the $36 for the portraits. I called the local office and wanted to know what was going on. She said my refund would... read full review »

Rogers Canada
October 24, 2007
Long story short; The customer service reps at Rogers Canada~who, on account of the building I live in HAVE to be my service provider~may be the most indept people in the world. First they forgot to mention that I had to call to cancel my 2 month FREE TRIAL one month ahead (in fact, they explicitely told me that I would be contacted at the end of two months to amend my plan). Then I spent a FULL WEEK trying to get a hold of them (after seeing it on my bill that I was being charged, a week ahead of time, for the next (3rd... read full review »

October 24, 2007
I bought a playstation 3 at a Superstore in Spruce Grove Alberta. After 2 months it quit working. As I live in rural manitoba returning it to the original store was impossible. So I took it to Winnipeg and stopped at the mcphillips st. Superstore. They said they could not exchange it as they were out of stock but told me to go to the Portage Ave. location as they had them in stock. When I arrived there they asked for my receipt which I gave them. The sales clerk told me that they would not exchange it because it was not bought at... read full review »

Kenmore Front Load Washer
October 23, 2007
Kenmore Front Load Washer - this wash machine has mold that continually builds up behind the door gasket and I believe around the drum itself. I have tried to keep it clean but to no avail, our towels smell something awful. I have called Sears 3 times, but only get a runaround, the only option they provide is to have a technician come out ($59.00) and diagnose the problem, which I already know. Then for another charge, they will run a solution through the washer to rid it of the mold, which will return, of course. I filed a complaint with a... read full review »

I purchased a laptop computer eight days ago. In addition to the laptop, I was sold a disk that would restore the hard drive if it were to crash. This disk cost me $99.99 plus taxes. I was told that if I was not happy with the product that I could return it within fourteen days for a full refund. I admit that I did not understand the nature of what this disk was. I bought the above product on 1st June, 2007. It has developed a fault and I phoned Future Shop about the warranty. I was told I would have to send the printer to Canon at my expense. McDonald's restaurant
October 21, 2007
On a recent visit to the Cuba, MO McDonald's I was very unhappy with the service. I was patiently waiting in line (only 2 people on the registers and about 10 people in line at each) when I was subjected to unfair treatment. I had just placed my order and was waiting for it to be filled when another couple came in and were noticed by a manager and obvious friend of theirs. The manager came out from behind the counter and pulled them slightly apart from the other people still waiting in line. As I had already ordered I had stepped to... read full review »

I drove to the nearest McDonald's at about 5 minute to 5am, October 21, 2007. I arrived there and realized that I had to order breakfast (I was in the mood for a Big Mac). I didn't see a sign displaying a breakfast menu so I inquired about it. I heard a muffled response; "Oh My God"! I responded; "What do you mean, Oh My God! I don't see a breakfast menu." It appears that this is a company that doesn't recognize Canada's Thankgiving. My latest billing had a due date of Oct 8th (Thanksgiving) when Canadian banks were closed. I paid the bill through online banking on Oct 5th (Friday) but because of the weekend and Thanksgiving this was not noted as received until Oct 9th. (It shows as paid on Oct 5th) I was charged a late penalty (the bill shows payment received on the 9th). Calling the 888 number had this corrected (or it will be on the next bill hopefully). How many others were also charged a penalty due to a Canadian-based misunderstanding? read full review »

Mr. Lube
October 18, 2007
I went to Mr Lube for an oil change for my girfriend's car. During the oil change they recommended that my serpentine belt be replaced. I looked at the belt myself and found no cracking or anything so I turned down the belt replacement. The next day my girlfriend tried to start the car and it wouldn't turn over. I purchased a new 2004 Nissan Maxima with the best warranty possible. I spent over $3000 for this "peace of mind". When I first started taking the car in for service, I was made to feel very stupid for taking the car to another place for an oil change and felt I had to bring it in to the dealership I purchased it from. This company seems to be the perfect one stop shop for everything you need to make that special day truly memorable. Unfortunately, it will prove to be memorable for all the WRONG reasons. Mr Carl Manning and his staff (Filomena etc..) are extremely unprofessional and completely disorganized. I recently moved from Los Angeles to Vancouver. While everything states-side was handled carefully and professionally, the problems started the moment my goods were transferred into the hands of Bandstra's Moving in Richmond, BC. October 11, 2007
When I rarely go to an oil change place, I want to go in, get my oil change and leave. In the past it normally takes 10-15 minutes to do so. I've tried a number of oil change chains here in Canada over the last 20 years and they've consistently provided 10-15 minute service. On 10/02/07 at Mr. Lube on Fraser Highway in Abbotsford, BC, I was essentially held hostage and exposed to a 30 minute sales pitch while waiting for my oil to be changed. It took 25 minutes for my oil to drain before they put in new oil. I wanted an oil change... read full review »

Asia Miles
October 10, 2007
I had my travel wallet stolen. All other travel loyalty programs were pleased to provide replacement cards to encourage my continuing use of their services, except for ASIA MILES, which required a payment of $20 or 2,000 miles to replace my card. (And unlike other programs, production of the card is necessary to claim many rewards or to earn miles.) Moreover, Asia miles expire regularly even if you are an ongoing, regular earner of the miles. This is in sharp contrast to every other loyalty program that I know of. Their anti-consumer attitude amazes me. Stay away from Asia Miles. I know I will in the future. read full review »
