I went on line to join the 66stage.com download movie site. I choose the option for $2.49 per month. I had not downloaded their movies before and wanted to sample the product before making a long term commitment. I put the purchase on my credit card and received a confirmation saying the charge was $44.83. The phone number on the confirmation sends you into a voice mail saying to email my issue.

I immediately called my bank. They had the number directly to mbpurchase.com. We got the agent on the line who says the $2.49 mo. is automatically charged for a year. Simple math say $$2.49 x 12 = $29.88. How did they come up with $44.83. My bank assisted me (Thanks Theresa at Citibank) in getting them to reverse the charge.

The issues are the following: The website says $2.49 and does not say it will charge for the full year. Second, if a full year is $29.88, why did they charge me $44.83. Both companies are suspect in my view. I do not recommend doing business with 66 stage or mbpurchase.
