I thought I had found a great deal with A Plus Van Lines, but all I found was a great deal of heart and head ache. At the time I was uneducated as far as the Moving and Storage industry was concerned. They made promise of one price, which was later raised. They failed to provide me with a binding/non-binding estimate, without my knowledge they contracted my job to Chicago Moving Systems (which is just a DBA for ASAP Van Lines). Chicago moving Systems did not show up when they were supposed to, did not deliver when A Plus said they would (or even when they said they would) there is a five day period where my belongings were unaccounted for (to me), my jewelry went missing and my very expensive irreplaceable tables were destroyed. Neither company acted in accordance with the industry they are regulated under and now they are hiding behind some carefully crafted laws. A Plus was previously Americas Top Movers, then A Plus then Spider Van Lines and now I am told they are operating under Mega Line Transport. I intend to pursue this as a matter of law as well as a matter of public change. I am bitter, I am angry, I am out money but I am propelling this anger to making sure that these companies, individuals are held personally responsible for their actions. [email protected]
