I rec'd call from this A. Watson stating I owed $500 on a payday loan and was senior attorney with firm and he was filing criminal charges against me for nonpayment. He said I took this loan in March 2010, which I did not. I told him I did not take a loan out in March of 2010, and I do not owe anyone. He proceeded to get very nasty, angry, yelling screaming, and I hung up on him. He called right back. I said I DO NOT OWE ANYONE FOR A PAYDAY LOAN, to which he insisted he had proof and it would hold up in the courts. I have proof I DON'T owe it! He threatened to have me arrested TODAY if I didn't agree and send the money. Having a criminal justice degree, I knew this would not happen. I again hung up on him, and he called right back, stating "Did I know I just hung up on federal agent and he can have me arrested?" What? I thought you were an attorney? I had asked his name, and he said Dennis. After he changed his profession to federal agent, I demanded his name. He wouldn't tell me till I kept saying WHAT IS YOUR NAME??? and then WHAT IS YOUR PHONE NUMBER? to which he gave me a bogus number, I called it and it is not even connected! He said he was in NY. I FINALLY got rid of him, and then around 2:30 I got another phone call from another guy with SAME accent, but different name and HE was in CA and said he knew about the fight I had with his "colleague" this morning. He said he was filing charges with the Los Angelos County District Attorney on Monday. I said FINE, go ahead! (I'm in OHIO!) I called an attorney and he said it sounds like a scam, call the prosecutor, which it was too late to do today so will follow up with that on Monday. I have also filed a complaint with the state atty general and left a tip with FBI alerting them of this situation. DON'T LET THEM INTIMIDATE YOU INTO GIVING THEM MONEY!!! I DIDN'T! :) It wasn't easy, but I don't owe them! :) He also said I owed the pay day loan co. (wouldn't tell me a name) then later on when he got angry I owed "HIM" the money! Go figure! Just a warning!
