I had work done to a supply hose under my kitchen sink.
After the job was done there was a leak coming from the garbage disposal attachment.
I called to ask what Able Plumbing's standard operation procedure was when there was still a problem after their repairman left a job.
I was rudely told that if it had nothing to do with the original problem then they would have to charge me all over again to come out. I was stuck as there hadn't been a leak before their service man came out from the disposal but began after he left.
As well, the disposal wasn't working any more.
I finally got in touch with a plumber friend of mine who came out to fix the problem for $100.00
He found a large bolt in the disposal as being the reason why it stopped working.
He agreed that I should call Able Plumbing and allow them to know what my experience had been: leak after their workman left and a non working disposal.
I telephoned the man in charge of problems ( I will leave his name out as not to slander)
After I explained to him what had happened I had one of the most accusatory and mean spirited conversations I have EVER had with a company with whom I had hired.
He started out immediately trying to defend and turn around the story as if I was unintelligent and then several times accused me of lying to make money back from the job.
I had never even brought up the topic of wanting reimbursement. I was calling to inform him of my experience from using Able Plumbing. I informed him as a business person myself I know that usually if there is an unsatisfied customer then the company usually offers some kind of compensation.
He then childishly played a game of trying to get me to say how much money I wanted back.
I reminded him that it was his business and that it was up to him to make any offer of reconciliation.
He wouldn't and kept insisting that I come up with an amount.
I told him that I had to pay another plumber $100.00 ( on top of $310.00 I had paid them) to come out and fixed the problem.
Then he laughed and said "Go lower!"
Again, I have never experienced such immature and hostile interaction from a business I have hired to work for me as I had with Able Plumbing or from ANYONE for that matter!
I assured him twice that I was under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and I was not lying nor looking to scam some money back.
In all, I had a horrible experience with Able Plumbing "serving" the Springfield -Fairfax area.
