What a scam. I'm embarrassed to say I fell for this one as it appeared as an ad on facebook and seemed legit. In a weak moment, I thought I'd give their "free trial" a try. Too bad I missed out on whatever fine print they say was there (I only recall a big box with large print that said "No Obligation").

Well, not only did the Cologenix make me quite ill, the Acai Berry Detox, touted as an amazing weight loss aid, caused me to not shed a single pound. In fact, it seems I may have put on some weight (though my diet has not changed ... hmmmm...). I'm kicking myself for not being a bit brighter about researching this company before handing over my credit card number (worse yet, it's a debit card).

I was able to get through the the company (866-949-0138) or, at least, something that says it's the company. I demanded a refund of all charges (there have been several within the month since I ordered my "free trial"). They apparently "escalated" my issue to the "refunds department" who will supposedly send me an email once they've processed my refund. I asked for a way to reach the refund department directly, and they said they do not have a phone number. Feeling a bit snide, I commented that they are able to handle charges and refunds, but they don't have a phone. He said, "Yes, M'am." I then asked for an email address, which he gave as follows: [email protected] ... doesn't sound very legit to me, but I'm a bit skeptical and still a bit steamed about the whole thing.

Anyway - do yourself a favor and stay clear of this company. If Acai actually works, I'm sure there are smarter ways of acquiring it (like at your local health food store, for example). And as for the colon cleanse product (Cologenix) ... wow. All I can say is that that was not the sort of "cleaning" I was looking for. (Sorry about that.)
