As I was sifting through my bank account charges, I noticed a charge of $39.95 from a vendor I did not recognize. I phoned the number listed with the charge and it was for an adult dating website, wealthymen.com. I joined this website last year (2008) and deleted my account, so I thought, after a few months. I did not pay any money as it was free to join so I wondered how in the world did this site manage to get my banking information. I have been billed $39.95 since August of this year. My fault for not noticing this earlier. Apparently, someone re-opened my closed account, somehow got my banking information and billed my account for a premium membership. I am now in the process of going through all of the hassles of filing a fraud complaint. I know that many people do not file complaints against these type of sites because of the embarrassment of others knowing that they've been on them. I believe these sites know this and have found a good way to take advantage monetarily. Hopefully this will change as more people unfortunately will have to file complaints/fraud charges against this unscrupulous vendor mongers.
