My complaint is similar to all the rest. The police department referred my family after a relative died of a self inflicted gun shot wound. Yes, this is a messy job, and no family member is going to clean it! However, taking advantage of people traumatized by such an event is just the most sickening thing. My story is the same as other complaints. They quoted about 7-8k, the bill came to 27k!!! They called the grieving family weeks after the event and threatened to put a lien on the house, after the insurance company paid 9k...higher than the quote! One does not need to be in this business to realize it does not cost 20-30k to clean a room, nor should it take 3 days!!! After math is scamming the insurance companies and making an already difficult time worse. I wouldn't wish finding a loved one dead from suicide on anyone...but if so, please DO NOT use these spineless people at AfterMath for help.
