Dear Airtel Prepaid Customers,
These guys overcharge your prepaid account calls by multiple times and never give the reasons out.
Before a month, I found the balance lacking by seven rupees. I called thrice. They said in one week they'll get back. After a week they sent an sms "Your balance was deducted for the calls you made." No further explanations. Today, dt. 20 April 2008, at 22.18 hrs, I made a call to local Mobile

As per Tamil Nadu / Chennai circle tariffs, one year / six year / Talk More /Student pack charges Rs. 0.39/min from 10.00 pm to 08.00 am.

My call comes in this timings. Normally our watch time and AIRTEL time may differ by a few minutes, I agree. But with 18 minutes, is it a fact ?

I called customer care. The response was
"For updation, we wont be able to attend u from 19 Apr to 20 April till 12.00 midnight.

So they charge 2.5 times the actual charge when u call in night and cheat customer's money.

In my opinion, BSNL is a better service to choose.
