I am using Airtel for more than a year now, inspite of irregularities attached to their services, reason being still they have a notch above Bsnl. But these people are taking it very lightly with just no rule or regulation of control over them.

Yesterday I received an sms, "Update effective!4, Aug 07, your new call rates for all STD calls will be Rs 2.65/min & for local calls to Local mobile numbers other than Airtel Mobile will be 1.50/ min"

today when inquiring with the customer service the man at other end says yes you received the sms, than the call rates have changed for you. I don't know who had requested for the plan change, and why this sudden change without prior information, he simply said every one has revised the tariff so we have.

I just don't know what is true or false. They are offering different promotions for new entrants, and for old customers they are just changing plans as they wish! Is there a government agency watching this, or simply they are meant to fall in line ?

I believe, we have to take some steps to correct this issue, so that such things don't happen, I don't know how many customers have received such messages, and the change is for all the operators or not.
