GPRS
I agree with a lot of other people who have written against Airtel. I have a prepaid connection in Bombay and since I had to go to Gujarat for 10 days, I activated MOBILE OFFICE / GPRS. However, inspite of my repeated SMS and calls, I did not receive any settings for my mobile phone. Finally I found it online and got it working but the speed was so poor that immediately I sent a request to deactivate my GPRS. However, I kept getting error "GPRS cannot be deactivated. Try later". When I called 121, they said they cannot deactivate from Gujarat, I can do it only once I go back to Bombay or else I will have to call a mobile number which will not be toll-free. I called that mobile number in Bombay from Gujarat and the executive said that she has taken my complaint. However, everyday 14.99 was getting deducted from my mobile. Finally I sent an email and received an auto response that my query will be taken care within 24 hours.

However, today is 24th April and still my money is being deducted. I returned to Bombay on 18th April and made several calls to their 121 numbers and was assured that my GPRS will be deactivated and I will not be charged.

Now I guess the only solution is to let the balance get over and once the balance is less than 14.99, it will stop getting deducted.

I wonder how such a huge telecom company afford to work like this? Ironically a couple of days back I received an independent CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SURVEY from IMRB. Sadly, the only option I could select was "POOR". I recommend them to add "PATHETIC", "DISGUSTING" etc. as options.

Disgusting Services Of Airtel Prepaid
I recharged with Rs. 210 which is a validity one.. in that the was an hidden offer which has 1 Rs rental per day..

I sent message for deactivating it on 16th April and on 20 th I raised a complaint also... for that by that stupid 198 service...
its still not deactivated..

When i wanna talk to superior.. these CC people simply hang up the call..

Then what is the sense of CC people..

Airtel --- has Servers which will be also out of service .. this is the only answer CC people says...

Pathetic support center people who disconnects the call when they don’t find any answer and there is no survey response come when they disconnect the call by their own...

Only have limited information with corrupted database and always try to be adamant on that info... I have never seen such disgusting support anywhere except Airtel Bangalore.

Please Keep Some Good Educated People...

Wrong Bill Plan and Information
This complain is about Aritel, I'm on a 399 bill plan where i gt 1000 mins airtel to airtel free call and 1000 airtel to airtel free msgs per mnth, there was a dealer who gave me a call and informs me abt a diffent bill plan a bill plan of 399 but it wud be 249 rentel since it was a celebration plan where in i wud get 1000 mins airtel to airtel free call and 1000 airtel to airtel free msgs per mnth and 1000 AIRTEL TO ANY OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER and gave him 600 rs x2 for 2 numbers .I called the aitel customer almost 12 times in 3 days all the reps wud disconnect the call they themself have half knoowledge they dnt dont allow u to speak to their sups this is the most unprofesional company they even gave me reference numbers to and stated they wud call me back in 24 hrs no one called its just a way fr airtel as well as their dealer to make money out of their customer

SIM REGISTRATION FAILED
hi,

i have purchased my new connection 9818732332.My connection was cut on 7 days before.I complained a lot to relationship manager but only for 1 day my cellphone got activated after that 2 message came 'you have to pay rs.65000 as your bill which is illegal.

they are doing nothing on this issue

Deduction of amount using shortcuts of Airtel Live
On 22nd April I had received a short cut through an SMS.
When I selected to see what it actually is, it closed and soon i received another SMS mentioning "Thank you for using Airtel Service" and when i checked my balance, Rs. 50 has been deducted from my account.

When I asked Customer executive they said that I have logged into the airtel live service and downloaded a game.
One of the customer executive argued about this that i have logged into airtel live which I didn't.

If they don't add the deducted amount into my account they will loose a good customer soon who used the service more than an year.

No service in 72hrs, No way to complain
Pathetic! The cust.care no.121 says no. does not exist! I dial toll free no.9892098920 and no option for customer care?! I use a minm of Rs 500 p.m.+ on my no. 9892069832. So why am I being treated like this? Airtel plz reply.

Mobile Billing Issue
Hi

This is to inform you that Airtel has tested my patience to the core. The last 4 months were my worst experience with Airtel. I have never seen a customer is neglected in this way. The only person I found helpful to me was Venkatesh who claims to be the most senior person there. His work helped me only for 45 days. After that I was like fish out of water.

First of all I would request Airtel to have good systems, because whenever I call I get a good and unarguable response saying that the system is under up gradation or there is some issue with system. I don’t know what the network engineers are doing there.

Now, my issue is being dragged from last 4 months. My outgoing is stopped at least 3 times a week, I have to call you and the same gets activated within 2 hours. Mine is a business phone and I cannot afford to be with out this for long time.

I was promised many call backs but received only 2 out of 20. Rather off late even Venkatesh was not able to keep his promise as he promised yesterday that my out going and incoming will start within 24 hours. But it has not happened until I have posted this complaint.

Moreover I have to ask my son to solve this issue for me. Since I cannot call Airtel form my land line and pay for the calls which are scheduled to be toll free from a mobile. If I would have called form my land line I would have paid more than what I’m struggling for. He with his busy schedule has to call you and talk about this issue.

With the pain, torture, and harassment which I have got in boon from Airtel I should get waiver of my complete current bill.

If not from my point of view, see this matter in your point of view.

can't call to landline
Dear sir,
i registered complaints (karaikudi customer)several times as per airtel customer service advise.so far i'm not recived proper feedback from them regarding
1.i couldn't make call to std landline nos very often.
2 i'm not reciving airtel network in chennai district
PLS TAKE ACTION & REPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Never Solved my Complaint
Regarding Airtel Mobile Office, I have given many complaints and feedbacks.

(My number 9790080210).

First of all, try to teach the Customer care representatives how to speak with the Customers.
Every time, they are disconnecting the Call while Complaining. Harish, Rajendar.. and many persons doing like this. after 2 or three attempts, 121 customer call has been blocked. (why you are blocking the calls. Are you afraid of the Customer).

Never try to cheat the Customer. Without the Customer, airtel will never grow with the advertisements.

Ok I will come to the Complaint.
I bought the New Tamil Nadu Airtel Number (my old number was bangalore number).
I activated one month Airtel Mobile Office for Rs.375. For the Rest of one month, I mad the complaint regarding the internet access. The service was toooo toooo slow. just 1 or 2 kb per second. I have used Vodafone Internet and RIM internet. They are providing upto 7 to 10 kbps. Airtel not providing atleast 5kbps.

Very slow. If we type any web address, we can have a te and come., then only the site will be opened. I have given the Complaint at January. after the complaint they deactivated my 121 customer call number.
(Have you tried this. This will happeb to each and EVERY CUSTOMER. If you give any complaint, your 121 service will be de activated. After that I started giving complaint to activate 121 call. 2 weeks gone. After that 121 has been activated. Later i have given one more complaint about Airtel mobile Office. They refused to solve the Problem. And the Validity for the Mobile Office has been Over. Always I am getting the error asd "Communication Failure".

So what's the use of 375 Rupees. Hmm. What are you doing? Are you cheating us..

Then one more thing. Last Tuesday I activated One Week Mobile Office. But the same problem was their. After opeing 5 or 6 pages, .. i am receiving this error as "Communication Failure". (I am remembering that I am having the full coverage. i am in the Center of the City at Coimbatore. The Area Name is 100ft Road, Gadhipuram). If we download any files/ videos or pictures, the Success Ratio is lesser than the Miss ratio. 40% of downloads are getting Success. And if we download a large size file (for example 2 Mb). Every body know how the speed is. I already mentioned the speed is lesser than 4kbps. Every time, the download skipped at thje middle, and giving the error as "Communication Failure. Contact the Service Provider".

I made the call to the customer care representative, he transferred the call to the technical team. They told the final decision as "We are not able to do anything regarding this error. and we are not responsible for that". this answer was told on April 21st after 10pm.

Again I made the call and the person named "Harish" talked with me. I told everyting from the top to bottom, but he disconnected the call. Every body doing like that, always disconnecting the call.

For Example, try to check Vodafone Network. See how they are talking with the Customers. how Nice. Airtel always using the word as "I am sorry. I am sorry". Whats the use in asking Sorry.. There is No use. Take the Action. Dont ask dummy sorries.

Airtel Live GPRS is also in this catagory. it alsways shows the Error "Invalid gateway Response" or "Connection Failure. Contact your operator Service, if the proble Persist".
Regarding that i given two more complaints. they put my complaint in Dust Bin. (i think).

This is to inform you, I am mentioning this to solve my complaint. Otherwise, I will publish this in Consumer Complaint Webpage.

i had taken new postpaid conection i.e.9987756525 after 2 days activation card was blocked .i wisited mulund airtel relationship center &that prrson "mintu"told me 3varificaton had been done your door was closed &card is not going to activate anyhow. after going hear& there i gone to lowerparel airtel relationship center inbetween allready 10-12days hapen.at lowerparel they told me it was loprofile if u came hear before 10 days we can able to do imediatly but allready 10-12 days happen.i had to diposit extra 500, so again i had to vait more7-8days &then my card activate because of wrong guidence of that fellow "mintu" ihad to suffer for 15days i allready had lounch complain no.16146080 iwant to no what action had been taken against that person &what about that proublem i had fased in those days
