Inefficiency!
Airtel services have been regularly contacting me. to convert my plan from 'pre -paid' to 'billing'. As I had 2 connections under 'pre-paid' plan I decided to convert both to the billing scheme. I was informed that, an Airtel agent would come home with necessary papers. On 3rd of Feb.2008, necessary documents were submitted along with cash payment of 1200/-, against form No.s : B252972/B252965 for the enrollment forms.
I was also informed to contact Mr.Sameer on mobile no : 9967571597, for any further assistance. All the formalities and verification were duly completed but without any prior intimation, both the connections were de-activated on 8th Feb 2008. Receiving no information, from any of the Airtel assistance center and Mr. Sameer being beyond reach I contacted my nearest Airtel customer service center only to learn that the simcards were to be delivered at my doorstep by Mr.Sameer and that the Numbers were already 'active'.
I registered a written complain (which I am sure is going to fall on deaf ears), just to safeguard any discrepancy in billing and inspite of my repeated frantic calls to Mr.Sameer, I am informed by him that the simcards have been dispatched by courier service numbers : B58924/25. and would be delivered before noon on 10th Feb.2008.
Bad enough the simcards are still not delivered until 10pm, Mr. Sameer has conveniently 'switched off' his cell, since 4pm. Both the mobiles are inactive since 3 days and I am beyond anyone's reach besides which I had to incur expense by making calls to various Airtel centers.
I hope there would be some responsible personnel who would look into the harassment I had to go through on account of irresponsible and callous attitude of Mr.Sameer.
In case, my mobile is still not activated, I would have no choice but to contact the media and switch over to another reliable service.

Can not send mms!
Airtel inform me that my mobile phone was already activated but until now i cannot send mms.

Poor value added servic!
This is to let you all Know how sad AIRTEL is... Providing sad Network Coverages was an issue of mine by default but now even VALUE ADDED SERVICES. I called there Hello Tune number and was listening to various song and Pheli Nazar Mein ( RACE ) caller tune i have heard more than a Minute and i selected it as my CALLER TUNE. When i called back to my no 9987045679 to check back the same, strangely it played for only 20 sec as compare to normal Tring Tring of 30 sec. Ideally it wont make any sense a caller tune ringing on 20 sec. And even it was not inform to me that caller tune which i have selected will be played only 20 sec, if that would be the case i might not select that tune itself.
Its very sad from AIRTEL part, they are fooling the customers by making them hear the song more than actual seconds its going to be heard by people.

Airtel Customer Care
I am using airtel prepaid connection in Bangalore.I got a promotional call from airtel which i didnt understand as that was in regional language so i disconnected the call.Later in the day i got a sms saying some Background Music service has been activated and Rs 30 were deducted from my account on 19 th Jan 2008.When i called the customer care ,they didn't tell the cause of the problem and disconnected the call.
I again called the customer care twice on 27th Jan,2008 and the same thing hapened again.Customer Care people are not ready to hear any thing ,they just disconnect the call in the midlle of the conversation.
Please can anyone send me the mail id of the Airtel Zonal Head

scheme deactivation
I am prepaid customer of airtel since Two years. Presently i am residing at Mumbai, my mobile no is 09867180263. I am facing a serious problem and airtel is not listening to my problem since last 1 & half month.
I wanted to deactivate a scheme in which i'm being charged rental 1.5 rs daily. I had sent SMS (DEACT) and also (Deact) to 1515 as per the cuctomers care's suggesion.
I had sent my first SMS on 18th December 2008 & since then i have send atleast 5 to 7 SMS for that, but my problem is not yet solved.
I'm calling the cuctomer care people every two days and they again & again ask me to SMS & also assure that my complaint has been forwarded and will be solved within 24 hrs.but still not solved.

I have given my address proof despite of that my outgoing has been barred since last 1 week. I complained to customer care 100 times but still no response.

Terrible customer service!
Once again, Airtel proves to have the poorest customer service in India. I have requested numerous times to not have messages sent to my mobile. I have asked for bill collection etc. These are always ignored to the point that eventually I receive notice that service will be terminated although it is their mistake and oversight. Airtel is an awful, obnoxious company. If any body knows of another company who has broadband an telephone land line service, I would very much like to know of it. I'm sick of airtel.

Ridiculous customer care service!
I belong to Trivandrum-capital city of Kerala.I was using an Airtel Life Time pre-paid service since last one year. Yesterday ie:- 24-01-08 I lost my mobile with a talk time of Rs.750/-. I tried calling my number but was switched off. I wanted to block my sim, so that nobody will be able to make calls and finish off the talk time of Rs.750/-. I called the customer care at 8PM. I explained the call center agent the whole story and the reason to block the sim with immediate effect. But the agent was not able to help me. Upon my request I was transferred to the Customer Care Dpt Manager. He too turned out to be useless.
They merely said that they cannot help me in any way till next day ie:-25th morning. Their explanation was that, Airtel cannot offer any such kind of service after 6PM. I asked a counter question that "so what is the solution if a person looses his/her mobile after 6PM" to which the Manager answered that "sir its your head ache"
At least the story ended up as I lost my mobile with a talk time of Rs.750/- which Airtel customer care bluntly washed off their hands. Shouldn't I say "what a wonderful service and excellent responsibility!!!

validity was not extended
i have been transfer my post paid airtel conection to pre paid and first recharge with 225 rupees for one year validity period. but validity was not extended for 1 year. my mobile no is - 9725039540(naresh patel)
