Network and coverage problems
Network problem has been iterated about 4 times till date and there has been no productive action or response from Airtel team. I have been facing this problem for more than 10 months and logged online complaint in June.
This week also person called and when I complained expectation was set that tech. person will contact within 4 hours and there was no response.
I have the following problems.
* Call Drops in certain areas, have to run to balcony if I get a call
* People calling complaint that I am not reachable. This is very bad as it sets wrong impressions
* Cuts at least twice in a single conversation and this increases my billing by double as I end up calling the person at least twice.
* I don't receive certain important calls from office and relatives
* I suspected it was phone problem and changed my mobile JUST for this reason.
Note: There is certainly no problem with my handset as I tend to receive and talk even in areas like my office closed-lift which 9 floors.
At this moment I am unhappy with the service and I would definitely discourage Airtel connection in my area. I am unable to recommend Airtel or this reason to people who seek my advice.

Poor service!
I had my first share of bad experience with Airtel now. I have a prepaid connection and had my STD plan of Re 1 activated from around 3 months. All of a sudden, on its own this plan of mine was deactivated and a National message plan was activated which i was not even aware of. I had called up airtel regarding this at least 5-6 times and spoke to a various customer executives and each time i got a assurance that my problem will be solved in 48 hours. After 12 days of this drama, i was told that they can not do anything about it and i have to bear with this plan for a month at least!
The Customer Care of Airtel sucks big time... if they can't solve a problem at least they should be honest with their customers rather than keep harassing them!

Deduction of extra balance!
When ever i am sending any SMS (local or STD) after normal deduction of charges, one more notification comes after 5 minutes which tells that "you have been debited Rs 2 for VAS downloads". After this message from my balance 2 rs gets reduced, At call center also they are not giving any satisfactory response, they always tell to call after 6 hours when i called about 6-7 times they agreed to give 2 Rs back, when i asked for what about my previous charges & what if this thing happens in future they are not replying about this thing. Also after talking to them in call center they told we are giving you balance which is debited but that is also not done.

Scam and cheating!
We have an airtel landline and broadband connection. we have made a complaint to airtel that our phone was out of order one day. When we received the bill for that month we are shocked by seeing that many calls has been made on that day and all the calls have been billed.
When we complained about this, there is no response! Beware people!

Sim card not activated!
This disgusting that the salesman and salesgirl are responding in such a irresponsible way. Taking a postpaid connection after filling the required forms and paying the deposit amount till now sim is not activated. Customers are served in such a fraud way.

MONTHLY BILL IS NOT got on time
i have got cug post paid connection from the company for past 6 months but recently for 3 months i don't get the bill on time due to this i have to call to customer care for every month for my bill and my brother is also having the airtel connection but he receives the bill on time.when i called the customer care number they giving assurance that next time it won't be repeated.my cug post paid connection is registered in my brothers name.this month also when i called there is no response.if the same persists i am planning to quit the connection and i wont pay any extra amount for my surrender of the card.

Sir my sister is getting calls from 9902811092 and she is getting distyurbed mentally ,plz tell who's no is this and where he is from.It will be a good help for me.

Out of Order or Some problem with the mobile
My no. is 9993004043. There is no overdue bill pending of this Number. Still I am not able to make or receive any call from this set. What should I do?

Do not call registry for Airtel... pure bunkum!
Have registered with their do not call registry more than a month back, but i still continue to receive unsolicited calls!!! i have their confirmatory message still with me but what's the use. What kind of so called 'No. 1' service is this!!!

closing the connection
Myself Rajesh k Sharma, R/O 1170-F, Sector 7B Chandigarh has been a subscriber of mobile phone having cell no. 98784-94559. I do not want to continue with the mobile connection, so you are requested to stop the mobile connection and services to my mobile.
You are further requested to adjust the payment/bill against the security deposit of Rs. 250/- deposited at the time of taking connection.
I may be informed through retur mail regarding the return of the sim card and the payment/refund of money after adjusting the bill against security.
It is made clear that after 31-10-2007 I do not require the mobile connection. So you are requested to do the needful at the earliest and inform accordingly.
