Mobile service problem
I have been facing a lot of problems in making outgoing calls to my friends and relatives as well as incoming calls. My sons and daughter in law are unable to contact me many times as the phone is not reachable. My mobile no. is 9987018146. I am a resident of mumbai, Goregaon west. Prior to this I was using BPL prepaid card and I had no problems whatsoever. I had selected airtel just because I wanted a post paid connection. I think i have made a big mistake by selecting airtel as a service provider. I don't know whom to contact so am posting this on the complaint board.

Pathetic customer service
Surprising that a company like Airtel could rely on such a pathetic customer service to help improve its customer base. I only wish the team would have been more educated in handling their customers in a better way.

I am facing a lot of problems with Airtel!
I am facing a lot of problem with Airtel Mobile Services since the last 3 months and I have not received any solution from them inspite of regular follow-up. Please find below the detailed description of the complete situation.
I went to China on 3rd Feb 2007 on an official business visit and as requested airtel services were working fine there. But during my subsequent visit to Thailand, my phone was disconnected without any information. I had called Mr. Sunil (Airtel, Delhi) to inquire about the termination of services & even he couldn’t help in any manner. This was 11th Feb onwards. During this period I missed a meeting with a Delegate who came from FRANKFURT coz there was no communication b/w us which led to loss of FEW 1000 $ to our company.
I was never given any intimation regarding the reason of this disconnection (NO SMS, No Phone Call either on my mobile or in the office). If they would have informed me I could have asked someone in the office to resolve the issue (which was unknown to me). Now when I have complained airtel regarding this they have not responded at all. I am attaching all the email conversation which I had with Airtel.
I am receiving phone calls from different people everyday to claim the payment but no one is trying to give a solution (callers are not even aware about the issue so I have to explain at least 3 times a day), despite all the assurances I have still not received any solution from Airtel. In fact they have started calling my friends (numbers they took from my calling history) and trying to check my position in the company.
Never in my experience have I had such poor customer support. I cannot be held to ransom just because I have this number for quite some time.

Fake recharge messages
I received a message from airtel-karnataka on 05/30/2007 saying that recharge for 135 and get talktime 165, i did same but i got talk time of 117 only. This is really frustrating and to complain this there is no customer care.
So please be aware of this.

Message sending problem
I am an airtel customer, if i send a message (ISD)t o my friend from my mob, he is not getting that. Last 3 days I have lost 30 rs . That i spoke with customer care executives. They told that this problems of Etisalat (UAE Mobile service provider). But h is getting messages from other mobile nos. except mine. Anyone has the same problem?

Unsolicited promotional calls & SMS
I am continuously receiving promotional calls and SMS from Airtel. When I tried to get registered to book the complaint after filling up the entire form message showing is "Invalid Number".

The worst customer care ever faced
There was tower problem in our area (Kovundampalayam, coimbatore) for past 4 days. I have given complaint to the customer care for 3 times. I have sent message about tower problem to 121. This is my fourth mail about complaints. So fare no action take. The worst customer care ever faced. Business people lost their customer. So they opted for Other GSM/CDMA operators.

Talk time promised but not provided
I have my tel connection from airtel 09860587701, i recd sms from the company to recharge the phone fro Rs.570 and promised a talk time of Rs501/- however though i have recharged within 24 hrs, i have been given talk time of Rs. 348 only, inspite of repeated contacts to consumer service no 123 i have been promised to give bale talk time within 48 hrs, but even after 12 days i have not recd, also now the call center says i will not get the talk time.
Is this not a clear case of cheating and duping of the customer...

Refundable deposit for postpaid not returned
I was having a pre-paid airtel connection and i decided to convert it to postpaid. Airtel guys demanded me 600 rs as deposit with 500 refundable after 45 days which can be redeemed from any Airtel outlet. Actually after giving them 600 rs i canceled the postpaid connection activation the very next day (29th may) and when i asked them to return 500 rs they said that u can get it only after 45 days. So on 27th may i went to the airtel gallery in ghatkopar and there they said that they do not have any record for this postpaid number. So what I can do. They are not ready to listen to me. Actually i lost my mobile in which the airtel guy"s no. was there (to whom i gave the deposit). I only know that his office was in lower parel (mumbai) and his name was Vinay Gupta. Someone please help me if possible.
