Do not treat customers properly!
I am (was) an airtel Suscriber since 2004, Gujarat, Bangalore respectively. I was so impressed by the service of Gujarat and Bangalore. therefore, when i started job in Hyderabad with my present company, I intended to take Airtel connection. I am very sorry to say that service in Hyderabad is below average, i mean very BAD.
My connection has been disconnected without prior notice . when enquired, they stated that due to lack of relevant proofs, house address. I had submitted all relevant document to the Airtel official who came to our office and initiated for the connection.
After disconnecting the line, I have contacted the Airtel official several times, even I have personally handed over my residence proof (House Agreement) to the Account Manager. He assured me reactivation of the connection, till date it s not been activated, apart from that the so called officials are not attending my call too. till date no action has been taken from their side.
This made so much inconvenience in fact big trouble to me; Officially and personally. Therefore I am forced to disconnect Airtel connection and go for some other connection.
Please do not negelct any customer like this! You do not treat customers properly!

Disconnection of my mobile
On 20th May, 2007 at 8.30 AM, I did refilling for my pre-paid mobile and till 9.45 AM, 21st May, 2007 ( 25 hours later), my connection is still not on, thus I am neither receiving nor able to make calls from my mobile. This is after assurance from Customer Care on 20th noon that connection will be on soon. Now, when I am calling Customer Care, no one comes on line.

Airtel company is not a trusted company verfication of customer id is by airtel company by just one phone if custmer is not available then cutoff the phone

VMS deactivated without notice
I have brought to the notice of Airtel Mobile Services on several occasions that my Voice Mail Service once activated was deactivated (without my knowledge) and activated (on my talking to them) and once again deactivated (without my knowledge). Is this company playing a regular hide and seek activity with their customers or is it always necessary to lodge your complaints with the complaint board to make them function properly. Please note that I am not interested in their connection for payment only but for their prompt services too.
The manner in which their customer service department handles their issues they could be running out of my and other good customers business soon, may be they are not interested in individual business and writing on this site is a way I could warn my friends and acquaintances. During the last discussions with their customer service I was informed that the VMS is active; which was a blatant lie. This company teaches persons to tell lies and lies only, with such bogus staff they deserve a royal blast.
I get calls from their customer service departments like "liar kings" of Airtel (at the back of my arse) and also with Text message (SMS) that they are trying to contact me when I am on a flight and that they would call after 4 hours but no call is received. Why do this company live on lies and money out of lies? May be that's the easiest way to make money for them.
They have to change their attitude towards public service or this company will certainly be listed in most complained list (82 now) internationally and will be soon in the gunnies book of world record for lies and a lousy service.
I think this is cheating their ignorant management and the Indian public, besides the shareholders by persons not responsible for their actions and consequences, for a quick buck.
Hope the message is clear and I expect their reply at the earliest and also stop this fooling business soon. The irony is that their web service is redundant for lodging complaints and servicing the needs of the customers, but only for their payment details.

Unauthorized charge on credit card
I am writing to share my frustrating experience with Airtel in the US: I registered & bought a talk time card for $5 in Dec06. When i received my credit card statement, I found that not only did they charge me $5 but they also charged another $50 on my credit card without my confirmation. I called on 30 Dec06 the helpline & I was given the SR Number: 285551 with a promise that they would get back to me earliest.
After waiting for 1 month & not hearing from them through mail or phone called them & was assured of resolution - they said they will get back in a month. I patiently waited for 2 months and called them back on 02 April07. They filed a case SR number: 358802 and promised to help. But nobody called or mailed.
On this day i also closed the account. They gave me a refund of $5 but the actual issue of debiting my account with $50 for which i was following up for so long was still not resolved.
On April 26th, we got very frustrated and called/emailed them. They asked us to send the transaction details which we sent them. We gave them the Transaction Date: 8th December 2006, Transaction Amt: $50 & the reference number. In our credit card statement it clearly shows that the transaction was done by "BHARTIAIRTE 877 247 5150 NY 4029357733 Description CELLULAR TELEPHONE".
To this they sent a reply saying that they had refunded an amount of $5 to us already. [This was not even our issue- our issue was about the extra $50 that they had charged us]. We were all the while following up about the $50 which they had debited to our account without our permission and they replied about something else.
Now, having gone through all this-we called our credit card company to dispute this charge of $50 but since the number of days since the txn is more than 90 days they said it wouldn't be able to help.
I fail to understand how a company like AIRTEL would be so irresponsible and be so unethical in answering a consumer complaint. They first ignored the customer for a long time and then they responded to a wrong issue, and now they refuse to take any responsibility of the txn.

Security create major problems!

I am from andhra pradesh - india. I was a mobile with airtel connection Number is 91-9849523008 and sim card no: 899149000400064096046. I put security in fixed dial with code of "0000" path: setting - security - fixed dial-sim pin 0000 (code), but now Path: setting-security-fixed dial- Sim puk2... I am disable to remove it. Then i try to remove it but i am failure in remove the code. As result:
1) I can't call any number. At the same time i got info like "fixed dial only if i giving any code for fixed dial it asking "sim puk2".
Complaint2
1) Why u give security in mobile,
2) Customer care disable in giving suggestion,
3) Any problem consist with some salvation, here it possible or not,
4) Security create major problem to me, i am suffering from your network there no possibility to outgoing calls, and not display phone book in my mobile.

Mobile activation problem
I am using this airtel card for last 4 years. The card is on my cousin brother’s name (Kapil Kulkarni). I am trying to get it transferred to my name. I have submitted all the necessary documents, including ID proof, address proof ect. along with Airtel Form, To Ankit Communication, chinchwad, Pune. The documents were submitted to the outlet on 22nd of Nov 2006. The Airtel form no. which I had submitted is 1883014. Since then (last 6 months) there is no action from the dealer or company in this regards. I have followed up with the dealer for at least 10 times. Each time I was given some absurd answers like system down, Company is verifying the documents etc. But nothing has happened till now. The dealer is taking no responsibility of this matter.
Same is the case with the company Help line. I called up to 121 for the same reason & launching a complaint against the dealer. But even the company call centre is giving no response. They are not even ready to give the request no or complaint no.
As a customer I have suffered a lot due to this. Every body in the company is same & not a single responsible person is there in the company. Is this the way company treats all it’s customers. Airtel is growing at a very fast pace but the end-user is being given the least importance. Company is taking no steps towards improving the service.
Now the mobile is transferred but the dealer has still not submitted the documents because of which the Service is barred.
Very poor Airtel service!

Dwell into the customers privacy!
How they disturb you! You are in the middle of a meeting with the CE, and suddenly the cell phone goes off... Tearing into the silence. The voice, as you answer, says, " AirTel Dhamaka... " It goes on and on. How they kill your privacy! If it was a real voice, I would have swear at it. But no, this is recorded voice.
AirTel should know that it does not have any right to dwell into any customers privacy.

Its time to take action!
We all know that airtel is the worst service provider. We till now missed many important calls because of airtel. Now its time to take action the customer care is also not taking interest. We will form a group and take legal action against it. So please let me know those who are interested in it just mail me to [email protected]

False charges
I have been using Airtle Prepaid since a couple of months. One thing that drives me nuts is false charging. I've activated GPRS which is meant to pull out 10 rs of my balance everyday. Lately, i have found that I get charged multiple times a day!!! Total amounts to 20~30 Per day.
Also the GPRS Sucks, I just get Dial up speeds of about 30~40 Kb/s. I just don't know whats that for? A message just pops on the screen from nowhere saying... "Your last VAS Debit cost is Rs... Your account remains..."
I called them but they say its not possible or you might have downloaded anything!
What the hell is going on??
