Activation of service without notice
I got a computerized call from Airtel. I could not hear anything what the call was all about.I cut the call.Next thing a text message comes to my number saying free callertune service is activated on my number. Another message followed saying they have charged me for that god awful song. now my number is in grace period and I cant even call the customer care without recharging.

loss of credit
I am a person living in UAE. For my vacation i go to india. While in India I always use an airtel sim. The airtel works properly in India. So one day before departing to UAE i checked and there was Rs.100. But after coming to UAE some 10 days later when i wanted an number i saw that there was Rs 4.5 . I told my brother in India to ask the customer service to check about it. They told my brother that it is an rule to cut a certain amount everytime you are out of india. Now plz people never but airtel sims bcaz I dont want anyone of residing out of india to face this problem.

abuses
i got an airtel number more than a year ago. used it for less than a year. paid my bill each month. stopped using it in aug 2010. and got a new number. they have my cell number, resi number, hubby's cell number, offc number. they started claiming that i havent paid my bill for 3 months - which isnt true. claimed rs. 7000. called up 5 of my friends and relatives telling them about my non payment. and today they sent me an abusive sms which i cant even mention here - it is that bad. i wish to sue them and file a police complaint.

poor customer care service
i got a sms from airtel on 23 december 2010 that khel khel mein service has been activated and rs.10 were deducted from my account.
many times before also airtel has done such things.
they unnecessarily deduct balance from my account.
i called customer care service.. they told me that they had recieved a call from me on 23rd & i had myself asked to activate this service.
i told them that i had not activated the service..
and without any further response they disconnected the call.airtel has become fake. they are not able to provide good customer care service anymore.
when my call was disconnected i again called up customer care..this another person talked to me and asked me to hold the line . i continued holding the line for a long time but there was no response.
already because of the illogical service activated on my phone, balance has been deducted and more of my money is getting wasted in calling and complaining at customer care ..
i am waiting for the scheme with which i will be able to change my connection to vodafone or some other connection..
i am dissatisfied with airtel..its very costly and harasses customers unnecessarily

Airtel Blackberry Billing
This is regarding my mobile number 9893014167. Last month I've received a bill of 34387.84 INR. The bill says that I've used blackberry services continuously for more than 72 hours from 17th Nov till 19th Nov 2010 and during these 3 days the blackberry service bill amounts to over INR 29000. How is it possible to use the service without sleeping and eating continuously for 3 days and nights? I am using blackberry service from last 8 months and never got a bill of more than INR 2000/ month. I never use blackberry for checking my emails and use it rarely for browsing. I never downloaded any software on my mobile at least during this period. My mobile’s browser record doesn't show any such extensive usage. After running around 121@airtel, nodal office and now appellate offices of Airtel for last 3 weeks, I am told today that the charges are valid. They say it's charged for browsing. I am ready to settle the bill but want them to send me a proof of what sites did I browse continuously for day and night which they say they can't. How can they bill for something which I've not used?

threatening to disconnect prepaid mobile connection
I am possessing airtel prepaid connection number 7894043700. When I subscribed this connection, I submitted latest passport size photograph, copy of driving license, pan card and my identity card. I am a officer in a govt. bank. Despite fulfilling all criteria, airtel authorities have demanded documentary evidence thrice and I have repeatedly submitted those document. Now it is fourth time when I have been told to submit all document else threatened to disconnect the subscription permanently. Attention airtel authorities. Kindly acknowledge receipt of the complaint.

lethargy of sales agent
I have an Airtel landline connection (0522-4000727). At the time of taking connection, the Sales Agent Mr.Viaji Gupta sold me the plan "North-Impatience 699 Combo 2048KBPS LUG PLAN - 90431". He said that the plan can be changed anytime in future by just a telephone call to him.
We were not using the internet very frequently. So we decided to shift to "Talk Value 549" plan. For this, I made the first call to Mr.Gupta somewhere in October. He promised to get it done immediately. Since then, I have made several calls to him. Everytime he promises to do it and get back to me. But nither he gets the plan changed nor gets back to me.
Today also I made a few calls and he said the same thing. When I said that I would like to get my connection disconnected (to shift back to BSNL), he welcomed it. But again he has not done anything for disconnection. I hope Airtel would do something about such people who are spoiling the reputation of Airtel.
