Fake calls
Kindly investigate and take the matter to Police. Someone calling and claiming that he is calling from Airtel office, Bandra. He first gave a missed call and upon calling back on the number claimed that I have won a lottery of 25 lakhs. The call was only of 32 seconds and that costed me Rs.10. I am pretty sure he has got hold of Airtel numbers database and he is cheating Airtel customers by making fake calls.

The no. from which I received the call is +923455696287

Kindly contact me for any further information. My number is +919890690149.

Unnecessary subscriptions and subscription charges automatically done
Dear, This is with regard to the automatic activation of news and other kind of subscriptions in my prepaid account. I never dial or message for news subscriptions but suddenly I get a message that "you have been activated with news subscription and a particular amount is deducted". This has happened many times even after deactivating the service from customer care. Customer care people are reluctant to take complaint for this issue and I have to undergo this type of situation many times. This is like purposely making a person take a subscription and taking money for that, even though the person has no intention to make any subscriptions. This may be a flaw and deduct money from Airtel users account (since many people are ignorant about the small charges and hence the company makes lot of money for free).

I advice all the airtel users to be alert and watchful from these kind of deductions. Its about ethics and following a healthy business processes to make profit.

I request airtel to stop these kinds of discrepancies and follow the genuine path of growth.

and at last if possible, please stop making automatic subscriptions to my prepaid account.

regards,
saurav

unethical way of charging consumers
I am having a corporate connection No 9177401546. I received a SMS from Airtel on 05 Oct 2010 along with a default warning saying that a new caller tone will be activated with immediate effect and saying that if you don't want it, please press blaha.. blaha. Similar message was received by my other friends too. Since I don't want any caller tone or dialer tone, I refused instantly as per the SMS directions. However, later after paying my bill for Oct 2010, when I received the e baill found that they have charged Rs 45 for dilaer tone cum caller tone for the entire month which un ethical as per the TRAI regulations and Lok Adalat verdicts. Soon I launched a complain at the front desk of Air Tel Office at Madhapur, Hyderabad but they asked me to contact 121 as they are not authorised to do any thing on this issue. They were too busy in receiving money than answering my questions. When I contacted 121 for a brief period found that I should contact 198 which I did. I briefed couple of executives about the wrong deductions for which they asked me to contact after couple of hours since they are not empowered to take decision on such matters. However, nothing materialised and ended up in loosing more than Rs 30/- (since 198 is not a toll free number and the waiting period is unimaginable) and later received a small SMS saying that we are unable to process your request, please try later. But, again went back to Air Tel office, Madhapur and briefed about my complaint and asked their help for which I received smart reply saying that why don't you contact our nodal officer either thru phone or thru e mail. I contacted the notal office on 25 Nov 10 and one Mr Ramesh promised me that he will revert to me later of they day. Air Tel also, as did by other mobile service providers like AirCell doing these type coveted practices of silently deducting charges from the consumers for which they have not provided any service. This shows how so called multi national mobile service providers companies are following ethics in India. Had this happened in USA or Europe, this would have gone the other way. Here we have to take time and go thru a lengthy process even to launch complaint. I am planning to take this matter either with TRAI or to Lod Adalat. Poor Indians, please be ware of these type of looters.

complian regarding network problems
to whom it may concern,

i'm a airtel customer, recently i have converted my postpaid number to prepaid... since then i'm facing problems witjh the network.
1. disturbing noises during actve calls.
2. messages being delivered repeatedly, even i recieve same msg more than 7-10 times..

i requested on customer care to resolve this problem but every time they say your request has been filed but no action has been taken on it..
when i visited airtel main office regarding this matter, they said to replace the sim and again charged me for that but still with the new sim i'm facing the same problems..

today when i again tried to contact customer care, i told them my problem.. they asked me to wait as they transfer the call to senior executive but after few seconds they disconnect the call.. this happened thrice with me...

i'm very very disappointed with the rude and inappropriate response of airtel customer services.. its almost been a month since i'm facing this problem...
i'm sorry to say, airtel is no more having that quality services which it used to have..
bad network, no timely response to customer grievences, n mamy more...
i'm having this number since i started using cellphone.. but with such treatment i dont think i can continue with airtel for a long term..

please do the needful..
thank you

fraudelent activation of Hello tune
Today i got a call from some unknown number, since I was in a class I didnt pick it up .After the class, I called back on the number and it turned out to be a airtel number advertising about the hello tune feature. So, I just disconnected.
Some time later, I got 2 messages from airtel stating that 45 rs have been deducted from my balance for the activation of the hello tune feature which I didnt activate.

Immediately I called up their customer care number, and I complained about this. The person on the other end just disconnected. When I recalled I reached some other guy who was a complete fool . After letting him know the situation 10 times, he deactivated the service and on asking about the refund of 45 Rs he just disconnected hurriedly saying 'Thank you for calling Airtel'.

This is just fraud and Airtel is damaging their own reputation and they must be knowing it.After employing top managers they employ strategies like this.I have been using Airtel for 5 years now and have heard about such things from friends. Now this has happened to me, I would be switching to some other operator once the MNP is launched in the Delhi circle. This is just bullshit way of treating your customers.

I study in IIT-Delhi and many people have switched to other operators in the past few months.

Disconnection of Airtel fixed line
Dear Sir,

My Landline Airtel phone number is: 47026511 which is installed in MANAV Co-operative GHS, Rohini, New Delhi. As per our agreement with your company, we are entitled for the free connection. But we have recieved bills regularly from your side with the penalty of Rs 50 per month. Therefore, the last bill recieved by us was of Rs 550 approx. i have also contacted your customer care executive but no proper response was given by them. I want to clarify the procedure of bill and the said phone is currently out of order from last 1 month. Please, solve the matter urgently.

regards,
K K Jain
