Unauthorised deductions and sending of junk messages
I have been constantly receiving junk messages from Airtel (from the number 54321) and being charged for what I am receiving though I have not subscribed to any of the services provided by this number.

I have made several calls to their contact center (which incidentally costs money now if you want to talk to who they call 'customer care executives').

The calls are invariable picked up by some absolutely clueless people who have no idea what to do. After much convincing they either tell me that I am not subscribed to any service or that they will unsubscribe me from the service and put back the deducted money into my account.

I have constantly been receiving Job Alerts (totally irrelevant to my job role and interest) and Jokes (most of which will want to make you cry).

I am not sure if this is some kind of ploy by Airtel to up their sales and fleece unwary subscribers or is it plain unprofessionalness on their part.

Either ways I don't want to be party to this nonsense and am hoping someone will look into this and set things right.

Airtel’s Massive Fraud – Dumping Goods on Gullible Customers with out their consent
Dear friends,

I have an Airtel Broadband connection 42668209. Was shocked to find (after 3 months) that they have charged for PC Secure(An useless n unknown Antivirus software) and Online Desktop storage without any written or verbal confirmation whatsoever from my end.

This is sheer GREED and they don't have a clue of what's happening as they have stripped themselves fully (Incl their vests n brief to their outsourcing operators!) Absolutely no coordination between them.

When contacted, after so many different versions from diff people, they have waived the charges. The key Qs to the TRAI, Govt and the general public are as follows:

1.TRAI clearly states that a written confirmation has to be obtained from the customer regarding change of plan and same to be communicated to the customer vide email/sms. Neither of them happened in my case. CLEARLY VIOLATION OF THE LAWS OF LAND! Look how they care for the law! They simply break it!

2. I opened my mouth and they gave the waiver for DUMPING USELESS PRODUCTS WHICH I NEVER WANTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. How many millions of subscribers have been conveniently duped like this?, esp. good natured rural folks. Can TRAI, after an audit, arrive at a figure of this humongous fraud???. What about other operators??

3.TRAI is supposed to make an audit of the billing system periodically. Are they hand-in-glove?? Otherwise how on earth can Airtel go ahead with scant regard of TRAI's laws?

Last but not the least. I have never had ANY billing issues with BSNL last two decades. Their response to service may be a lil' slow(Thanks to the Central Govt who are bent on killing them!) but they would ever and never do such a blatant violation.

NOW, WHO WILL BELL THE CAT?? I'm making all efforts with my disposal to see to it that this issue is raised in Parliament/other relevant forums like this, raising public awareness. It's not the Qs. of getting waiver for an individual for a couple of hundred rupees, but to expose the crores of rupees swindled from customers all over India since 1995!.

And without serving local customers, finding their feet-on-the-ground, obeying the rule of the land, they are flying for expansion in Africa and other countries! All Africans may not behave like we Indians, Mr.Mittal. I do care for your LIFE as you are no doubt a Telecom Czar.

63 SMS pack
i recharged my phone with Airtel's 63/- SMS pack (which provides for 500 sms per day for 30 days), after 2-3 days of recharge when i was sending sms, then amount was deducting from my main balance (1/- per sms) so this way my 19/- were deducted, i called customer care near about 7 times and they filed complaint twice, sometimes they used to say that i'll get my balance refund and sometimes they say they'll not refund the balance even my 3 days have lost due to this problem, and customer care is useless they just don't take interest in this, matter is not only about 19/-, its about the extremely poor services of them. i want to take some strict action against them.

Unnecessory balance deduct by cricket pack which is not register by me
Hello team,

I am facing some problem from Airtel / Prepaid Service Provider.They deducted my balance unnecessory from last month for cricket service pack which is not subscribed by me. They deducted 5 Rs. daily from last month & also i done complaint with customer care but no response from them.
Now the Airtel is very "Ghatiya" service provider in celluler companies.Please kindly help in this issue.

Network problem at Hubli unit
We are having the corporate connections of Airtel post paid about 30 connections, at our hubli unit of vaatsalya hospital getting frequent problem in network we are not able to talk for 5 min. continuously.

We have asked for the solution long back to put booster in the building, despite of repeatedly telling no action is there so far.

In future it is not going to happen then we will be forced to withdraw all the connections.

loss of my money
dear sir,


I am usig airtel sim card last 4 years now also using, yesterday night means 28/03/2010 this day night time 12:20 tht time they charge the 10 rupees. that tiime i am in call i am talking with my friend after i cut the call they charge the call rates but within the two seconds they charge 10 rupees.At the time i called the coustemer care and he take a complaint and he said our exicutive will be calling tomorrow at 3.30 pm he said that time i said k.
Then again that date morning 4.20 something again they cut the 1 rupees.
today 3.30 and 4 something they called me that coustemer care he talk with me that time they told me you are using this service thats why we charged you that tyoe he told me i said no i am not use this service why should i pay? i ask, but his talk is not satisify my question. and he told me sorry sir this amount not refund to you that type he told me and cut the call.
so that is i requested you please give me justice sir .

net work coverage problem
i have been using airtel simcard 97o1889870 post paid for the last two years. but off late it is not functioning. I have even approached the head office at begam pet hyderabad. but of no use. iam in fix as to what to do.my repeated calls to air customer care haven, t helped me. iam suffering a huge loss because of the non-functioning of my simcard.hoping that you would attend to my problem and solve it soon

deduction of money for no mobile download
on 19/3/2010 around 9:50 pm, i opened the site google and through google i opened facebook, as i was not using any wifi i did browsing through airtel live, when there after i receive a message from the no. 54321 at 9:58pm. saying thank you for dowmloading girl on the beachv from airtel which actually never happened in my mobile and charged Rs. 15 for it.
after receiving the message i stopped doing browsing and again after 10 minutes i.e. at 10:08pm. i receive another message from the same no. 54321 saying this time ''thank you for downloading kiranvideo2 from airtel and you have been charged Rs.15 for downloading.

After receiving these message, i felt cheated and i immidiately called customer care telling them about that problem on 19/3/2010 around 10:10 pm. where the person gave me the complaint no.719322 and told me that the problem will get resolve by 25/3/2010 by 6 pm. i felt relaxed that airtel might see to our problem,

but i was forced to make this complaint today after having a talk with Vipin from airtel on 23/3/2010 at 2:07pm. from the no. +919971000260 who told me that, the downloading details have been mentioned in the data and i can not refund the money.

i have been using this no. since past couple of years and i have never made any complaint like this before and that only for 30 Rs. but when i come to know from vipin that he can't refund the money and he directly said to me that we can not do anything else in this even when i ask him to let me talk to someone senior to you he simply denied to give me the no. according to him it was not aloowed to give numbers of the senior person.

even to know more about this no. you can check my past records, if anything like this has happened before and also my recharge value to make you understand that i will never make a fake complaint to get 30 rs. balance in my mobile because i am still more capable of doing recharges and too og higher value.

Note:i can send you the message which i receive from 54321 for downloading, if there is any contact with me from any no.
i can not provide any proof photo as there is a dedection in the money balance.

your airtel tower is not good signal in sarwan khera dist. kanpur dehat pls solve this probelm.
