This collection agency has been calling my mother's house repeatedly, looking for a person who is not affiliated with our family in any way. They use a recording when calling and say to push a certain number if the person they are looking for is not at that phone/address. My mother pushes the number and the call is disconnected, but then they just call again with the same recording a few days or a week later. They also leave extensive recorded messages on her answering machine if she doesn't pick up the phone. It seems to be impossible to talk to a live person, and so the calls continue. Not only is this harassment of an elderly woman, it's extremely inefficient on the part of the collection agency, because the person they're looking for is somewhere out in the world and they're repeatedly calling the wrong number.
